why thank you for the information, you do seem to be very biased towards being pro gun. so all infomation is taken with a pinch of salt

Did you not understand his sarcasm - Yes there are people who say that, but i don't think " flaminggodzilla " is one of them...
User avatar #18 - ninjamyles (08/10/2013) [-]
sarcasm is hard to identify on the internet because we lack any clear emotion or tone of voice.
#20 - OOOnelsonOOO (08/10/2013) [-]
We obviously don't have drug lords walking down the street announcing their presence in most of the US. Unless it's like Detroit america.

That obvious overstatement allows you to infer the rest of the statement is probably sarcasm and overly exaggerated of the posters opposite political stance.

Picture unrelated.
#14 - anonymous (08/10/2013) [-]
And you're obviously totally anti-gun so all of your posts will be taken with an equal pinch of salt.

at what point have i given you that impression. i have stated my stance anywhere. stop projecting so hard.

It's a shame you feel your life and the lives of those around you are not worth protecting, but it's utterly pathetic for you to project your love of victimhood onto the rest of the world.
User avatar #12 - ninjamyles (08/10/2013) [-]
i don't need an assault rifle to protect people. and i never said im pro or anti gun.
#27 - anonymous (08/10/2013) [-]
Less than 1% of people in the US own assault rifles, they're already heavily regulated to the point where it's pretty much unfeasible to get one unless you're rich or well connected.
#189 - anonymous (08/10/2013) [-]
I went to a gun shop and a guy went in and got a gun in 30 minutes. There was no background check or anything. He just filled out an application of some sort.
#157 - anonymous (08/10/2013) [-]
So anyone who doesn't want to own a gun doesn't care about his loved ones? Fuck off. I can't stand morons like you who can't even appreciate where people in the other side of the argument are coming from, especially when you are heavily outnumbered by those people.

In college we have a lot of students from around the world. Most of them don't hate Canada, but they dislike Canadians. Everything you say about Americans is actually how most Canadians behave. Only difference is that you guys have duped yourselves into believing you're the nicest people on the planet when in fact most people I've met from other countries would argue that Americans are by far more polite and friendly
#67 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
Lol. Completely untrue. Just met some Americans while camping.... bonded with them and brought them back to smoke some Canadian kush. They said this would never happen in America as everyone sticks to themselves and people aren't really nice at all. They also said that Canadian kush is a lot better.

Having lived in both countries, I say Canada > America any day of the week.
User avatar #214 - Conquistador (08/28/2013) [-]
Oh god the stupidity.
#82 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
So what does that have to do with the fact that I was talking about people not from either Canada, nor the US?

Really a Canadian saying he would rather live in Canada? SHOCKER

I've met people from Sweden, Spain, China, UK, Australia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and several other places that would much rather live in the US than in their homelands. Even other Canadians. Those that aren't over jingoistic like you
#84 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
I've met people from most countries that hate America. You guys are hated on a world stage, and for a reason. We are not.

This is from a 2 month old article:

"Canada finished second only to Germany in a survey of public opinion worldwide, according to a worldwide BBC poll released today that relied on 93,000 citizen interviews in 29 countries."
#93 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
We are hated? Now I know you are full of shit.

First of all polls and studies have shown that most people actually like Americans. They disagree with our government but people and government are mutually exclusive. I have yet to meet a person, except for a couple of people from France, that actually "Hate" Americans. My father is a pilot who flies to Europe and Asia. Japan, China, Korea fucking love us to death. The Europeans also tend to greatly appreciate and like Americans. My father when he's in Paris gets help from the French people, which ultimately proves that the French are not really as big of assholes as the internet says.

Your poll seems to describe politics more than it does the actual people. Like the article (yes I looked it up) had to do with economic and political reasons. Sure, Canada doesn't do anything so it wouldn't surprise me all that much. but the US was clearly more positive than negative, which defeats your premise that we're "hated"
#98 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
Lmao. After your first sentence I stopped reading. Typical American, thinks his view is right, even when facts state otherwise.
#108 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
So you're biased opinions are facts now? Not the several links I sent to you?
#109 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
The several links that prove Canada is a friendlier country? LOL!

Your whole society is based upon greed, and individual achievement over the backs of others. You are obnoxious and uptight, and the world knows it. No need to argue.
#120 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
1 link had Canada as 4 and the US as 5

However, ranked as travelers the US was 3 and Canada was 10. Also, on the codex the US was ranked 8 in terms of welcoming other people while Canada was ranked 12. Yeah, friendlier my ass. You only beat us in one poll and that was by one rank. There are several other countries far friendlier than our supposed friends up north

Seeing as how you behaved I think you're just self projecting now
#125 - quickstrike has deleted their comment.
#123 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
How I behaved? I'm just trying to educate an American on what the world thinks of our countries. The world sees Canada as friendly and polite, which is true, while the world sees the US as uptight, greedy and obnoxious. That is all.

I know so many Americans that, when travelling to foreign countries, wear a Canadian flag on their backpack and say they're Canadian. Why do you think that us? LOL!
#136 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
You insult my entire country and countrymen and you don't think you're not being rude? You're trying to educate me? Is that why you persist in calling ALL Americans rude and obnoxious despite the other links I gave you? The other polls? So what now polls don't matter if they don't work in YOUR favor?

You keep speaking for the world but clearly the world DOESN'T think that the American people are as you claim us to be. In fact, you further prove more against your own point about Canadians yet you stand on your soap box preaching. Nothing is more hypocrtical. Americans don't wear Canadian flags, that's literally Canadians. I've seen Canadians do that here in the States as well. Now all you're doing is blowing smoke out of your ass and calling it fact. You can wrap a turd in aluminum foil, put some pretty beads on it and give it to the Queen of England (and Canada) as earrings. But in the end it's still a piece of shit
#138 - quickstrike (08/08/2013) [-]
You will never see a Canadian pretending to be an American abroad. You see Americans pretending to be Canadians all the time abroad. That is all. I am no longer interested in arguing with an obnoxious American. Definitely not changing my view on your country. Will not be reading any more replies. Bye bye now .
#149 - anonymous (08/08/2013) [-]
No, because you guys are so over jingoistic it hurts.

But thank you for completely destroying your own argument in the process

Study some psychology. It's how the human mind works that makes it so obvious that this would happen to him.
I'm not a psychology expert, but I know enough to understand what he's saying. Is Bieber acting like a douche? Yes. But it's not surprising, because people let him. It's called being human; if you can do whatever you want without consequences, you will.
I agree with you that he acts like a cunt, but I think you're trying too hard to make him terrible. I also strongly believe you have no idea what you're talking about. Keep in mind the kid got famous at age fifteen, and he was generally a pretty chill guy at first. Grateful, even.
It's no surprise that over time this shit got to him. It happens to most.

>But I know enough to understand what he's talking about.
Please, do tell me how you're an expert on everything you talk about.
I pointed out I'm not expert because I'm not trying to look intelligent, I'm speaking from what I've learned. In other words, I'm aware that perhaps I'm missing something, I'm speaking from my knowledge. No need to be a dick about it.

User avatar #121 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
I didn't see you did because that doesn't make any sense. Yes, you can know quite a bit about something without being an expert. You imply that you either know nothing of it, or you're an expert, which is dumb.

I already said what I have to say above. Plus you fools have no true concept of Psychology, well besides the broad Highschool definition of how the mind works. I mean yeah you guys are sorta right, but you guys lack the social science that this topic dearly needs, and that is Sociology. Justin never goes around by himself doing his stupid shit of course he has friends and like every human being on social interaction we try to be better or up to par with our friends. That's what he's simply doing, being a prick to show off. Like I said, don't blame society blame the individual. His brain wasn't made to act like a complete asshole his social life is what created the monster.
TL;DR: Not Psychology, it's Sociology. What I said above but more on point because you phanacts can't even comprehend the simplest of phrases.
