You can tell that people are ignorant when they say Trump bankrupted any of his businesses. He took advantage of loopholes in the law with how bankruptcy works in the US.

Maybe after the first one. The first bankruptcy involved his personal wealth and nearly destroyed his company. The only thing that saved it was taking the company public which brought in a lot of outside investments. Every bankruptcy after that was him reducing the massive amounts of debt the company accumulated from starting new businesses which usually ended up with many people not getting paid what they're owed, construction companies in particular. Don't act like he's god's gift to business. He does enough shady shit to make a used-car salesman cringe.

That's debatable. One of them got shot and didn't die. The other has died dozens of times and yet is still here.

I agree. I think the kid was just a puppet and the whole thing was his father's idea. Sorry if it seemed I implied otherwise. The kid was most likely told what to do by his father without realizing what the consequences would be and then told that he had to lie about it to keep himself out of trouble. I don't know if the plan from the beginning was to try and extort money from the city or that is just something they jumped on later. His father is known for throwing shit into the fan then bitching about how poorly Muslims are treated when people react negatively to that flying shit.

I didn't assume anything. I just pointed out that taking things at face value was itself an assumption and I listed a number of possibilities that could be assumed from what was said above. There simply is not enough information to know exactly what happened or if he is telling the truth. Maybe this was taken before his ex-wife replied calling him a lying bastard or maybe he was telling the truth. We just don't know, and claiming otherwise is an assumption.
