I live in NJ and holy shit there are a lot of us here. Basically a few of his underlings arranged for the bridge to New York in a town whose mayor refused to endorse Christie to close down for a few weeks, causing massive traffic jams and forcing schools to close. Christie denies knowing anything, but, you know, of course he does. He also cut teacher pay and state worker pensions after saying he wouldn't in the election. And our state's credit rating has gone down multiple times while he's been in office.

I looked up some studies on whether empathy was impacted through television and other media and most say it is, feel free to read them or google your own. How someones raised does factor in alot, but media and tv certainly helps alot as well. I'm not saying watching tv magically makes people more prone to murder others, just it does make you care alot less about others. Like all the self absorbed attention whores on facebook.

After reading through those, only one actually included the word empathy and the article says that the results have been contested by other researchers. The other two articles are about violent media desensitizing people which is not the same as a decrease in empathy or sympathy. It simply means that you would feel more relaxed around violence.

I mostly mean that it makes people less empathetic towards peoples suffering, since you see it so often. Which in turn can create a generation of sociopaths and murderers because they can't empathize with the people around them, and when some kid bullies him at school he doesn't see anything wrong with gunning him down.

Except that isn't how it works. Empathy is not lost from watching TV or playing video games. Almost all people understand that what they are seeing is a terrible thing and are not swayed towards violence just because someone else did something violent. The largest factor in empathy (other than pre-existing mental conditions) is how someone is raised. As long as they are taught that violence is generally a bad thing, they will not become un-empathetic from seeing a news story on a violent crime. This is why you have gangbangers that feel nothing from shooting people. It isn't because they saw a news story and thought they wanted to gun down a convenience store owner and steal all his cash. It's because they were raised by people that taught them that it was alright to do that.

communism in theory good
communism in real life bad

These guys are talking about the theory wherein the social sculpting body (referred to as government but not really) dissolves after it has successfully redistributed the country's wealth equally to everyone.

Anarcho-communism is achieving this state without any help from a social body, assuming that human nature is to share and that the nationwide community will all instinctively divide their wealth and share everything around.

Unrealistic of course but theories are always nice.

If you actually read the communist manifesto, communism is a natural occurrence that will happen without any real need of a central government. That being said, if the proletarian didn't insist on things like social programs or any hand outs at all and just let it come to the point where there is literally 99% proletarian working like slaves on a puny pay rate for the 1% of bourgeoisie, the proletarian will naturally take all the means of production.

I like to think of economics as a sine or cosine wave: The y-axis as representing how spread out the wealth and power is; the x-axis represents time. The crest and trough represent ideal and realistic communism. All the space that makes up the amplitude is capitalism. The wavelength reflects how well a capitalist society can maintain its self without hitting a short lived extreme.

That is true and can be said about any political theory or form of government. The biggest flaw with every form of government when going from theory to actual use is that it doesn't account for corruption and greed. Communism was meant to combat the greed and corruption in capitalism but its creators failed to account for the possibility of similar greed and corruption in the early stages of communism. It is hard for someone to give up all that power and wealth, which is a major part of why the countries that changed to communism in the mid 20th century ended up being so poor. The top brass of all these communism governments took control of everything but never gave up that control and just kept taking without giving back.

In communism, the community owns everything, not the government and not the individual. What you are thinking of is Stalin's communism in which the government seizes everything and then keep most of it for itself. One of the fundamental flaws of communism is that it will not work on a national scale because community doesn't exist at a national scale. Community gets replaced by government and you end up with a small number of officials that own everything and use it to love in luxury while the rest of the country literally starves.

Let me repeat myself. They are two names for the same things. There is no difference between the Millennial Generation and Generation Y. You may think of them as two different things but they simply are not. You are confusing Millennials/Generation Y with Generation Z which, depending on the source, refers to people born from the mid 1990s or the mid 2000s until now. These are the people that are around 20 at the oldest, which is the category that the girl in the picture would fit.

The definition presented by you and in the wikipedia article is really unprecise and far away from the word. I guess that's maybe a language thing, but for me a millenial is somebody born after 2000.
