Yes, the US has huge stockpiles of weapons, but so do the Russians and China. Most of Europe is already pretty well stocked and currently not not involved in any full on wars. This means that, while the US may be their main supplier, they aren't currently buying massive amounts of weapons. The Middle East and Africa, on the other hand, have been in a state of war for most of human existence and they generally use old Soviet weapons because they simply can't afford what the US is selling. Israel is possibly the only exception to this.

He's never been broke. In fact, only one of his bankruptcies every affected his personal wealth but didn't put him anywhere near broke. He has lived his entire life as a millionaire/billionaire. He is not self-made, as he so often likes to say but rather inherited millions from his father along with his business. He manipulates the system, usually at the expense of others. Such is the case with the bankruptcies. However, he can't do that with the US government. There is no fail safe. He can't save the government by taking it public. Not really. Sociopaths generally have trouble with right and wrong and will sometimes do something, maybe knowing it's wrong but not understanding why or not knowing it is wrong at all. This can be seen with some serial killers who target certain people they believe the world would be better without, quite often prostitutes, and convince themselves that they are actually doing some good despite it being illegal. Obviously this is not the case with all serial killers, but some of them truly believe what they do/did is the right thing to do.
