I know the feel, I was hoping for a manual, but when I found my ute it was the right price, in great condition, and loved all it's life. It is a column auto, so it took some getting used to, I haven't had to do much to keep it on the road. the only reason I upgraded the exhaust was the stock 2 1/4" had developed a hole in the resonator, I didn't see much point just putting in half a system so I just went to the next size up. I'm still saving for a hard tonneau, high flow cat, and extractors, but it all takes money to do

yeah, I actually had the same problem with my stock exhaust, went over a huge rock and it tore a hole in it. Went with a stillen dual wall tips high performance exhaust.... 1,200 dollars later... I put aside a lot of money for the car though it's a project of mine.

and yes, I know it's an automatic, it was actually cheaper for me to buy the car and do a full tranny swap to a manual. Doing that very soon, it has a manual option on the shifter though and its actually pretty spot on to a cyntrephical clutch

It seems most of my mates drive 4 cylinder cars, my first car is a 4 litre straight 6, AUII falcon ute, a 2.5" straight exhaust sounds mean on that car
User avatar
#43 - fivebecomesfours (09/23/2013) [-]
4 bangers are alright, reliable and efficient, not so powerful though. I wanna get an engine swap to an inline 6 ): the vq35 in my car(same engine as a 350z) works, but wont handle more as I modify it. Straight pipes ftw by the way, I'd do it but I like to listen to music while I drive

lol there's a good and bad kind of noise. I prefer the noise that's actually showing your engine preforming, not farting through a pipe. Just got a new exhaust on my g35, nice loud and deep I love it. Pic related, my car

the trannies on a wrx are really weak, stock interior quality is iffy, they come off the line looking and sounding like straight ricer, if you want a subaru rally car you should go with an evo. The only thing worth keeping is their engine, but you'll get a 4 boxer with any subie you buy. That a better explanation?
