a mixture of it, yes, but lucky for me my parents decided in the old way to raise a kid and have one parent always at home. i learned from the tv. when my parents weren't around, but when they were i learned from my mom since my dad (rest his soul) was either at work or taking a deserved sleep. most kids these days don't have that. both parents have to work so their left at home alone with nothing but the tv.

i said the majority of new cartoons, never pointed out ponys as just the one problem. and evil is a necessary. if good is left unchecked, it grows to powerful and falls in on itself thus creating and even greater evil.

a child's mind is amazingly impressionable. little things can change the kid's personality drastically in the future. if the constantly watch something along the lines of "everyone should be accepted and we should all love each other" then they grow up with no back bone and expect everyone to be nice to them. hatred is necessary for a good life. you have to accept the fact that in life there are necessary evils.
User avatar #160 - finderfindy (07/04/2011) [-]
and you should accept the fact that most you just said is utter bullshit, EVIL is loosely tacked onto everything we want it to be. take a look at nature, is there evil in nature? how someone decides to act cant be traced to one spesific thing like i just fucking said before, one pony show isn't going to be the end of democracy, calm your tits.

if the main population is all friendship and hugs with no hatred, then every one becomes passive. "why fight?" then a dictator rolls in and destroys free will. hatred is a necessary evil. it's what keeps people fighting things.
User avatar #153 - jacencaedus (07/04/2011) [-]
Basically what you are saying, is that we should always hate each other? The show teaches the opposite, it shows that we should be friendly towards each other, but unite against a common enemy, just like in the first and second episodes. Being friendly does not make you weak fool, in fact it could make society stronger. Could you imagine the advances society could make if we all were just a little friendlier too each other?
#155 - sircool (07/04/2011) [-]
but mistrust also progresses society in it self as well. look at soviet russia and america of 1957+. both sides wanted an edge over the other and so rushed to reach space. russia got into space first but america over came it by reaching the moon. some things are necessary.

Your missing the fucking point jack, just because someone watch's something, does something, or what ever, does not mean that they will be just like everyone who ever watched or did the same thing at some point in there life, saying kids television will turn our society into a bunch of pussies is like saying having one gay guy in a community will turn the community gay. You say the shows gay and cutesy and i say you have your pretty far up your ass. Its a kids cartoon, its not a big deal bro.

or how about this. you stop acting like you're of the high class/elite JUST because you watch a tv show about neon colored horses. And JUST because i don't like the show you instantly think i'm of a smaller intellect. that's called, according to your terms, being a "jack ass" and have you ever once considered it's doesn't have any hidden meanings and is just to show kid's how to nice to each other? but there also has to be some hate, else everyone becomes a push over.
User avatar #145 - funkmasterflex (07/04/2011) [-]
i think we have a winner
#143 - finderfindy (07/04/2011) [-]
huh, i don't seem to remember saying anything about you not liking mlp, i could have sworn i was talking about how you (being the one whos a dickhead btw) being of lower intellect by stating that these kinds of shows are making us weaker or friendly, which for some reason annoys you.

seriously? being freindly is a bad thing you say? an annoying part of human nature that needs to be eliminated before we all become a peaceful non-violent species?
