This is a thought I originally got in a discussion about why homosexuality exists in humans at all. It is a theory and should not be used in a pure scientific debate.

The original idea is that about altruism, that something are good for a pack as a whole but might be bad for a certain individual. Example a individual who makes a noise to warn of incoming predators but therefore makes the predator locate the one who made the noise.

One thought I have been brewing on is that homosexuality developed as a tool for us to survive. Humans are a pack species. And to work better as a pack we need to know and care for the other members of the pack. Now what if homosexuality developed as a way for us to bond deeper than just normal friendship.

We are more willing to help someone we have a relationship with than someone who we don't, be it lover, one night stand or commitment. One good example is the sacred band of Thebes, a Greek city state with a 300 soldier elite unit. This unit consisted of 150 pairs of homosexual ****** . They were so willing to fight for their loved ones that they would fight like beasts. As anyone would for the person they cared the most about.

Many people in their teens will often develop bisexuality or full homosexuality which passes over in a few years. Many times creating lasting friendship even after they have lost their interest in these people sexually.
So what if it truly is like that? A way that makes it easier for the pack to survive at the expense of a few member who will not reproduce.

Hey you. How've you been?
#2829 to #2828 - felixjarl ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
Finer than a long time, just been a long walk uphill lately.

Also i started to catch up on a old interest. See if you can recognize it.
User avatar #2830 to #2829 - waffies ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
Literally just took a big walk? Or metaphorical?

Not a clue. All that comes to mind is Vengarls armor from Dark Souls 2, but i know that's not it. Whats it from?
User avatar #2831 to #2830 - felixjarl ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
Metaphorical in a positive light.

Well it is form the ancient game puzzle pirates, launched in 2002 i think.
#2832 to #2831 - waffies ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
Well good! Sounds like life is treating you well.

And i never played it, seems vaguely familiar, like a friend played it or something...

<--- thats vengarl's armor btw, you can see where i got /some/ comparison, Bears and redness and kilts and all

Like a very simplified version yes. 12 years of graphical updates sure makes it different.

So how is DS2 for you?
User avatar #2834 to #2833 - waffies ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
DS2 was fun. Beat it once, and played through most of a second time. I know i'll enjoy it again later, but replaying so soon again after got boring for me. I'll get on another kick eventually.

Whatcha been up to lately? Also, any idea when vol 3 of Dreamkeepers will be released online? (im too poor to buy up the books)
#2835 to #2834 - felixjarl ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
Afraid i do not have any knowledge of that, found a file of piratebay once through a random board. So i assume it has been released.

Alright. The prequel has been horribly entertaining as always. I hope they get back in the swing of updates again soonish

Fire even. The pleasure of a dry climate. Here fire is something that is measured is meters not cities.

Atleast i hope they are okey.

Snowstorm. Bring it.
Hail. easy
Flood. No problem

County spanning fires. Dear lord. I was not even aware those things could get so big.

Yeah, if it comes down from the sky, it doesnt really bother me. But fires and quakes worry me horribly. There's only one building in my entire town that is taller than the local trees. A quake could bring em down, hell strong winds have brought trees down on houses.

tis worrisome at times
User avatar #2844 to #2843 - felixjarl ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
And how long are those trees?

Also this will be my last reply. going to bed now. See you some other time broski.
User avatar #2845 to #2844 - waffies ONLINE (06/22/2014) [-]
The trees around my house average 50 feet high? something like that. Gnight felix

absolutely positively no idea, and i've been paying attention. After they moved into their new place they've been highly uncommunicative... I mean they still chat on their twitter a bit, but not much about the comic
