I completely agree with you on the prequels except for Jar-Jar. I still don't hate him as much as others do but I still dislike nearly every scene with him. Natalie Portman is a great actress, so it makes it really obvious to me that the problem is not with casting. Hell, I even like Hayden Christenson. Some scenes are really good with him (The pregnancy reveal especially). The new film doesn't actually reference the comics to my knowledge so enjoy, I'd definitely recommend.

fuck, you're right. That's why the acting wasn't good. Oddly enough, Liam Nieson is such an odd actor anyway that he actually was perfect in the first film. Jar Jar was wacky and not as annoying as everyone says, of course "Queen of the Jews" Amidallah is an amazing actress (althoug was a little too dry if you ask me, but then again, she was a queen in the first one).

I think the first three are entertaining, the second three (original three) were breakthrough for their time and are a classic story, but the visual FX for the first three were bomb-fucking-tastic! I watch those more than I watch the original trilogy these days (probably because I over-watched them as a kid). Haven't yet seen the new one, might wait until all three come out. But I hear they use non-Lucas canon included in the new film, which is stupid. The films should be coherent.

What happened?

Alexander of Macedon said that he conquered kingdoms and empires so that he does not have to listen to their negotiations and advise in order to how he should rule. After all, all conquerors love peace. They love conquering a town without any resistance.
> And if they did do it, then my country would be able to detect it and prepare to defend itself. It doesn't need to bomb the shit out of a country just because they might want to attack us - that's ludicrous.
It would maybe have the material resources to fight a war, but not the mental capacity to conduct it.

I was pretending to be deaf and use sign language to talk to some people at a party. This one dude was totally fascinated and was "talking" with me and shit. Someone came to the party and stole almost all of the jackets, so I just grabbed some random one when I went out for a cigarette. The dude was looking for his jacket and saw I had it on and was like "what the fuck?" and I said "sorry man, just was borrowing it because mine was stolen" and then he's like "what the fuck? you can talk? My brother works with retards, don't make fun of mute people!" and I'm like "uh, mute people aren't retarded, but whatever. Here's your jacket, take it easy. I was just doing a psychological experiment" but he took a swing at me, which I dodged, then I just walked away and my friends tried to calm him down.

Thank god I'm not in a country where anyone's allowed to own a gun. Could you imagine if the dude straight up pulled a gun out and shot me because I pretended to be deaf and borrowed his jacket to have a smoke?

Maybe you have it really hard in Eastern Europe, but you can still make a difference by choosing to smile instead of frown, look someone in the eye, smile and say "hello". You wouldn't believe how far that can take you. Sure, if every single person on your block has a gun and would rather shoot you then say hello, then maybe it's better to move, but I doubt it's THAT bad in Poland or wherever you are.

Okay, I played Quake 1, 2 and 3 a tiny bit back in the day (I never really got too much into first-person shooters and even less into multiplayer games), so I didn't know about all this shit.

Anyway, how can one just say "scout" or "red scout" and just assume everyone would know about some obscure game series spanning nearly 20 years?

ok bro, we get it: I'm an anti-conflict fag and you're a pro-conflict fag. I've have very few situations in my life that have involved physical violence. The ONE time it actually happened, I simply walked away and he continued to yell at me and my friends just said "yo bro back off" and it was done! If another country really sends hordes of soldiers or bombs to my country, without going through discussions or anything first, then that would surprise me. And if they did do it, then my country would be able to detect it and prepare to defend itself. It doesn't need to bomb the shit out of a country just because they might want to attack us - that's ludicrous. I don't have to look behind my shoulder 24/7 - I have hearing and sight and can most likely detect a threat to my person before it happens. In 30 years I've only been physically hit once, and have had maybe 10-20 situtaitons that could have escalated to violence, but I just kept walking or used calm words to diffuse the situation. Unless I'm some target of a multi-national manhunt, I don't think it pays to take a position of "kill or be killed, watch my back 24/7, always be prepared". I don't want to miss out on life just because I want to be prepared in case someone pulls a gun or knife on me. And statistically I'd be targeted alone by multiple people, so unless I was packing an automatic, I'd be done for anyway.

I'd like to say a few things in response, firstly I'm Latin-American no pretenses of being completely impartial here, secondly I think the situation between Latin-American immigrants to the U.S, and Middle-Eastern refugees is different. First and foremost while there are differences between Latin-America and the U.S there are plenty of similarities, not only in religion, or the way government is set up or viewed, but with the values we grow up with and in our general attitude about life. Also the only major languages spoken in the Americas are English and Spanish And french depending on where you are put that together with the fact that the U.S shares a border with Mexico and is close not only geographically but economically and politically with many Latin-American countries, it makes sense why there would be a significant population of Latinos in the U.S and thus the need for subtitles or official forms in Spanish. Most importantly Latin-Americans for the most part integrate well in to society in the U.S because it isn't that different from the way life is in Latin-America, and differences between Latinos and People in the U.S usually boils down to personal individual differences not cultural ones. All in all there arent many waves to be made from Latin-American immigration here. This isn't an argument for unrestrained immigration or anything like that, it's retarded to think it's ok to have millions of people come into a country on a yearly basis without some time to digest the ones that came there before, I'm just trying to say that while there are huge cultural differences between the European countries and the refugees that could lead to tensions but that isn't a problem you normally see with Latin-American immigration to the U.S.
#115 - anon (01/01/2016) [-]
Latin Americans are also not organizing as a group to rape all American women and impregnate them and force their psychotic cult on as many people as possible while committing as many brutal murders and human atrocities as possible

And statistically I'd be targeted alone by multiple people, so unless I was packing an automatic, I'd be done for anyway.

TLDR choose love over fear

I'm not your bro, brah.
> The ONE time it actually happened, I simply walked away and he continued to yell at me and my friends just said "yo bro back off" and it was done!
What happened?
> If another country really sends hordes of soldiers or bombs to my country, without going through discussions or anything first, then that would surprise me.
> I don't have to look behind my shoulder 24/7
I live in a slavic version of Chicago, I have to do that.
>TLDR choose love over fear
Might is right.

You know pretending you're deaf at a party doesn't qualify as an experiment, even if psychology is just a pile of horse shit even it still follows some rules as to what it qualifies as an experiment. What you were doing is making an observation.
User avatar
#113 - fatminion (01/01/2016) [-]
a personal experiment: what happens at this party when I pretend to be deaf? How many people know sign language? How many people will try to communicate with me? How many will move their mouth and how many will just use hand gestures? Of course I did a control group too and didn't pretend, just to see how people reacted to me as a person.

I called my mother to check on her and someone stole her newspapers as she was talking with me. I'm picking her up from work tonight and I hope I'm going to bust a skull or two on the way back.

ah ok, "Team Fortress" was a mod for the game Quake back in 1996, then the company Valve made a game based on that in 1999, then a second one in 2007

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Fortress_Classic
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Fortress_2

Okay, I played Quake 1, 2 and 3 a tiny bit back in the day (I never really got too much into first-person shooters and even less into multiplayer games), so I didn't know about all this shit.

Anyway, how can one just say "scout" or "red scout" and just assume everyone would know about some obscure game series spanning nearly 20 years?
User avatar
#26 - tropenthatshtup (12/31/2015) [-]
Cuz the game people play is less than 10 years old and still frequently updated.
And has a decent competitive league.
User avatar
#25 - kinginthenorth (12/31/2015) [-]
Team Fortress 2 is by all means, not obscure. It's definitely one of the most known series out there.

Ist das deine Band "circleoflies"? Echt geile Sache Ich steh auf das Zeug (ich hör meistens Jimi Hendrix, Doors, usw. - und was ganz anderes, Goa)
User avatar #13 to #12 - fatminion ONLINE (08/14/2015) [-]
"impossible c o l o u r s" heißt der Band, "circleoflies" ist die EP.

Neue LP hier: www.colouringbookmusic.com
