Anyway, we can discuss philosophy of politics till the cows come home, but historically a peaceful and successful society is one where education is the focus, the arts are encouraged, and the common man is taken care of (Greece, Rome, early US, modern EU). If your only argument against promoting peach and tranquility through education, health and wealth is "... at some point there will be some power that will rise and take us over, so it's better to focus on war rather than use our minds to solve the world's problems" then I feel bad for you. We've put people on the moon, we've sent robots to Mars, send probes outside our universe, we can talk with someone in real-time while we poop but it's not worth it to try for a peaceful, educated, healthy and wealthy global society? Sorry, man, but fuck you and our fear-driven right-wing idiocy. I know we won't get anywhere by calling each other names, but at some point everyone has to agree that peace is the way - education is the way - NOT violence and anger.
