i REALLY wanted to see the rhinestone eyes video completed... the storyboard for it looked amazing...but what bothers me the most is that it now has a cliffhanger...i guess everything is up to fan fiction now

Oh come on, you can't honestly expect them to have a new album already. Quality takes time, especially when everyone involved in Gorillaz has other projects/bands. Sure, shit like Katy Perry or Rihanna can shit out another disc every 9 months because they don't write anything. They show up, sing, and walk out. The errors get fixed with digitally and everyone bathes in money and cocaine.
The break between there first 2 albums was 4 years, and that about killed me, their 3rd record didn't come out for another 5 years. It's been just over a year, and Gorillaz are artists, which is a word to many musicians these days give themselves. They write and record music and they love it, you can tell by how passionate their music is. Oh, and "The Fall" wasn't really an album, just a bunch of sound experimentation that was pretty hard to enjoy. David Alburn has returned to Blur for a bit for something of a reunion, but he said that he plans on returning to Gorillaz after that.

Long story short - I've love Gorillaz for about a decade now, but one thing that comes with loving them is extreme patience... It took them 5 years to admit that noodle wasn't dead lol.
