i guess, not so much where i live.. the worst thing we have here is drinking.. the people who drink here will not think twice about driving under the influence of alcohol. i mean, they will drive drunk without thinking about the consequences, people here just don't give a shit, to add to that, they drive in the snow too. a few of the people i know have died that way.
people here smoke a shitload of pot, luckily there is no heroin or cocaine or meth where i live.

a few times have i been offered a bottle of beer from some of my friends dad's and stuff, i couldn't believe they would let me do it, but i said no. our school has sort of taught us that drinking and doing shit like that is bad, so why risk it, eh?
but yes, i have been under the influence of alcohol. i drank about two shots of 120 proof vodka. it makes me sort of light headed.

Cognac and vodka are >40%, absent(something like sagebrush vodka) is 75-85% and it tastes awful for me. Although it smells really good. But it hits you in the head like a hammer.
My second and last time I tried beer was when I was about 15, I easily bought it in a booth, that was first of two times I got so drunk I was litteraly turned off.
I think you need to give it a little go just to make sure you know why you're denying that, you need to have data to make desicions. There's such phrase like "Forbidden fruit is sweet", if you don't do anything because "OMG! That's not right, you're not allowed to do so, mister, now go to your room" you will eventually mutiny just to do not how you were told.
