When I'm with one friend it's pop/indie/rock n' roll
Another friend makes me play straight death metal (easy on the fingers xD)
And by myself usually stoner-rock. Which means I play random shit with fuzz ;)

I play a Squire Jaguar bass and a fretless Fender jazz bass

I'm looking to upgrade to a 5-stringed model, but since I'm a lefty my search is tough.

I got one of those squire p-bass's, same color, for $35 with a stand from a parents friend. pretty sweet, but i dont have a bass amp yet

I'm using a Roland Microcube Bass, they're pretty damn expensive for a starter amp, but they have a lot of features, such as a built-in tuner, drum machine, metronome, Effects such as Delay, Reverb, Wah, Chorus and Flanger, 8 different amp sounds, equaliser and of course it's small, portable, and, what's pretty exclusive for a bass amp, it runs on batteries as well as cable so you can take it anywhere.
Of course you can get much cheaper amps to start with. I got this amp because I had a 500€ budget and I got the bass at 200, and the amp+stand+strap+cable+spare strings rounded it up 500.

im thinking about just finding a used 10 watt ibanez amp. before i bought my bass amp, i thought the amp that came with my first guitar was a bass amp, because it was one channel, but it turned out there is a bass alternative, that is pretty cheap if i could find one. im using a line 6 spider IV for guitar though, i know they make those for bass aswell.
