you know how most NES consoles hook up to the TV? They use the Cable input not RCA input/output, what you do is you hook up the adapter to the cable port, then you hook up your cable TV to that adapter port, simple! That's what's not compatible with flatscreens, fuck if my oldschool consoles had input/output I wouldn't of mentioned Tube TV's advantage.

You do realize that we still use Coaxial cables in every single TV right? It's not like we suddenly re-wired the whole country... >.>
User avatar #85 - saltyfries (03/03/2014) [-]
yeah but none of my oldschool consoles are compatible with flatscreens through coaxial cables is what I'm talking about, they only work on tube TV's.
User avatar #87 - rampu (03/03/2014) [-]
Never had that problem and I've had a 40 inch LED in my room for years, still use it via Coaxial for my N64 and SNES... Odd.
User avatar #88 - saltyfries (03/03/2014) [-]
funny, my eldest brother said he got an SNES to work on a flatscreen, but whenever I tried it, it never worked, none of them did. Oh well, the perks of having a working tube tv, with an SNES, NES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, PS2, and N64 all hooked up to it (only reason PS2 is hooked up is I have no room in my bedroom's flatscreen, with a 360, GCN, and cable box all taking room)
User avatar #90 - rampu (03/03/2014) [-]
My only issue with tubes is the high pitched electrical hum from the capacitors charging gives me a massive headache, otherwise I would probably still use my old tube too, it's been in my closet for like 7 years. (Love knowing someone else has all the old systems too, I recently had my Dreamcast die, which kinda blows.)
User avatar #94 - saltyfries (03/03/2014) [-]
I've been playing video games since I was 3, which to me makes the changes in the industry and what's happening to Nintendo all that more infuriating, what with so many people bashing Nintendo and a lot of modern games sucking. I wish people could see what it was like to play the old Nintendo back in its heyday, as well as see the shit they're playing now for the stupid that it is.
User avatar #111 - hashtronaut (03/03/2014) [-]
oh yeah and about the cords... you can get an adapter than turns the cable into the yellow/red/white a/v plugs...which most all tv's have input holes for
User avatar #110 - hashtronaut (03/03/2014) [-]
there's actually a big thing about how the other two companies kinda... tried to snuff nintendo out. they wanted them to become what sega did..not a competing console, but making games for THEIR systems instead.

To be honest though..the newest game I own is san andreas on ps2. I Still have N64 plugged in (only console that survived. they're made of fucking throwback Nokia cells or something)...
but, I play the rom versions more often than the real cartridges anyway. (and when it comes to roms...shit, i use a ps2 controller to play any nes/snes/sega/gb/n64/ps1 game ever made lol

My penis.

Jokes aside, doing moderately. Got a new interest on anime, never thought some of the stuff could be so entertaining. Also my studying being an audiotechnician is heading to a bright future. Been wasting almost all of my free time in the studio at my school.
Also, the brutal wait for Season 4 of you-know-what has started - like for all bronies - brutally, but I guess there's a lot of shows that I can follow until then.

How about you? What's been going in your life?

The ones that I follow atm are Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Kotoura-San and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. They're all comedy/romance based and focus on not-so-over the top stuff that some are based on. Any kindof Sci-Fi also interests me.

Yup, alot of people flipped their **** over the Twilicorn thingy but most seem to be calmed about it. The season all in all was not as great as I was expecting, nowhere near as good as the second season. They did do some pretty awesome stuff but none of it was related to eachother.

I know that feel bro.
I have VERY few friends, and the one I do have treat me like **** .

However, I haven't had REAL social interactions in years. Literally years. I stay inside all the time. I'll probably never get a gf or any more real friends. My skin is so pale from being inside all the time. Sucks
User avatar #23 to #22 - everheat (01/31/2013) [-]
It's not like that for me though, I enjoy being alone and not really having any friends except for one. Girlfriends? I never had one, never had a problem with not having one. I enjoy other things like nature, wildlife and other miracles of life. Those things keep me happy.

So basically, I'm completely fine with how I am right now. Maybe you should try to find things that make you happy.
