it was fairly effective for nearly 30 years. the reason for the walls real collapse was the collapse of the USSR. Another example, the Great Wall of China is a great example of possibilities. in the long run, the wall didnt stop the mongols, but it successfully defended against them for 8 years until mongols made over the wall, and they couldn't successfully pull off an invasion because the wall separated them from a good supply line. im just saying, walls have been pretty successful in the past and shouldnt be used as an example against a candidate. i respect your opinion, but saying the wall is a bad idea isnt necessarily true.

You're right. The wall was effective at holding people in one place. But i would argue that it still is a bad idea.

You neglect to mention the million people that DIED working on the wall of china. Its the price of playing. I suppose I would argue that the wall might even work, but would it be worth the price, the upkeep? The manpower? Plus dont we have more people leaving mexico than coming here? I mean, I still think its a bad Idea, but you are correct in that giant walls do tend to keep people in one place.

point is, the wall had a different meaning. it wasnt meant to keep people out, but in. and seperate the people from the rest of the world so it was easier to control the satellite countries under the USSR.

I don't think the political reasons behind the wall of berlin invalidate it as a relevant historical example of the ineffectiveness of a giant wall at controlling the movement of people. Also isnt "seperating the people from the rest of the world so its easier to control" basically the gist of the argument FOR the wall?

Because Hillary is so much better.

> anything happens
> blame russia
> nuclear war

That's literally her thought process.
