In answer to your question, sci-fi and fantasy and all that shit tends to open up a lot of different ways for characters to interact. You can create situations and character conflicts that would never be feasible in a real world setting. But the point is that the situations and character conflicts are what matter. Not the setting that enables them.

You can create situations and character conflicts that would never be feasible in a real world setting. But the point is that the situations and character conflicts are what matter. Not the setting that enables them.
