narr (04/17/2012) [-] That's a damn good question, but seeing as how people sue companies for their coffee spilling on themselves and burning them they could probably try some lawsuit bullshit for knocking them down. But In most cases such as that, the person would more then likely nervously stand up and walk away or jog, or just be awkward as hell. The few times i saw someone putting something in a bag or pocket I calmly said to them " sir are you ready to check out? I can help you with that so you aren't burdened with carrying it. If you want I can place it at the register until you are ready." But you never accuse them. Just make them awkward as fuck. But As far as that that situation, If YOU picked it up and they didn't pull some kinda " oh im so rustled and buttflusterd i need compensation" Then you could just say " sir I see you dropped this, are you ready to check out? if you want to look some more I can ( basically same as above). If they asked for it back I'd give it to them and hopefully before they got out of the store with it they the loss prevention person would be there. or catch thier face on camera and the outside camera's would get a licenses or a look at the vehicle. Also some places, if someone is caught stealing. As long as its not like over a certain amount they wont even try to stop you until you come back in and are caught again. they just keep like a profile. Now ^ that may not be 100% legit and could have been something my friend who is a manager was just fucking with me about. But take that with a grain of salt. It's not improbable though. | ||
