Might be true for some games, but for example for Souls games I went and bought the XBOX 360 controller, and it's a lot easier to use than keyboard and mouse. For FPS games, maybe, but for anything else, if it has controller support you're better off using one.

The whole premise of this controller is that it's supposed to be better at PC games than the 360 controller. We don't know that for sure that's why pre-ordering it is stupid.

I am excited about the steam link though. Playing PC game on my couch or in my bed without spending a bunch of money on multiple PC builds.

I've used the steam controller before, the pads have a rumble feature that vibrates when you flick around it's like a trackpad on an old mouse almost , I found it very awkward to use, but it's much more sensitive than an Xbox 360 controller.

That doesn't change the fact that I can't use them. I can do so much more with a keyboard they are way faster.

Xbox controller on PC=OK PS controller on PC=OK Any controller on PC=OK
Having a crap ton of money and saying you don't want to play on a PC because it is too much= not ok
Saying that using a controller that was made by valve is not ok=not ok

could someone explain me why? Controllers will never give precision that a good gaming mouse can provide

Because instead of a thumbstick it uses a trackpad for sight, so you can be much more precise than a thimbstick would ever allow, while still giving you the ability to use a controller
