| *Shrug* Hard to argue with numbers. In the end it doesn't matter. Just gotta choose what fits your needs as far as a car goes. Something with over 200 horse and good mileage (30+) would keep me happy. And it would have to be standard. As nice as it is to have automatic, standard is just too fun to drive. i completly agree with that. best comprimise tht i've found? Audis Dual-clutch transmission. take one out for a test drive, and believe me, ur going to want buy one. at tht moment. On another note, my dads A3 TDI (only 140hp, but somewhere in the range of 230ft-lb torque) gets 50mpg. and we don't even try. | ||

| Hehe, don't need turbo's. If you want performance get Nissan. Hands down. My step mom owns a 2003 Maxima SE. Has 245ish horsepower from a 3.5l v6 naturally aspirated engine. Thing gets about 28mpg's, which is pretty good for the year in America. It's fun to drive and handles like a sports car. I wasn't aware that Volvo is built by the Chinese. I don't really keep up on the foreign car makers. There's just too many. I really can't say much. I drive a 97 Ford Escort LX (a station wagon), that has a 98 engine in it. The original engine blew a piston before I got it, so I had to do an engine swap. People wonder why I'm not a big fan of Ford... But it gets good mileage, and gets me from point A to point B without too much trouble. In the future I'd like to get a car with plenty of power and good handling. I've seen that the new taurus has a 300 horsepower v6 engine, but it doesn't get the best mileage. I dunno. I'd have to shop around. Might be best to stick with foreign cars. They tend to last longer. (Sorry for the long reply...) not bad...But the thing is, i get 230 hp from my 2.l, and when driven nicely, i'll get 28 mpg too. from a 4 speed autobox. and to put the final nail in tht coffin, nissan performance car? the GT-r? the one BUILT for performance? Its turbocharged....in fact, it's got 2 of them! *Shrug* Hard to argue with numbers. In the end it doesn't matter. Just gotta choose what fits your needs as far as a car goes. | Every new technology will have it's bugs. And just because Volvo messes up, doesn't make Saab the best. Toyota is great for longevity. Nissan is great for performance. Dodge is good for raw American power. GM is cheap to rebuild. Subaru is good for it's all wheel drive. I can go on and on. Every manufacturer has it's perks. Volvo just happens to be the safest car in the world. Even with that new technology. Their frames are very strong. oh granted, every manufacter does have it's perks. saabs is turbo-charging. also, Volvo is now made by the chinese, and to be brutally honest with u, they are over priced for what they are (at least here in canada). that said, I did have a volvo. 2001 s40. car never went wrong on me once. but it was such a god dam snore to drive, it wasn't even funny Hehe, don't need turbo's.
