In fact, him learning braille instead of him being blind could have done wonders for the character. By learning braille, he's learned to balance the use of his senses, which is why he can do all these awesome things. It makes him more of an "ordinary" character who, by circumstance, learned amazing skills and abilities.

If you want a bike thats not going to push your eyeballs to the back of your skull go for a 750cc its a good bike for people with a moderate amount of time on bikes and is still not too much for them.
