totallytito (08/31/2015) [-]  It's decent, the animation is fluid, the style is a bit generic, tries too hard to be a disney show, but overall keeps me entertained. Something they share in common is how they take the "magical princess" trope, and tries to 'boyify' it by having the princess/character misuse her magic and having everyone freaking out. I'd give it 7/10. It's a young kids cartoon with a little spice so that older brothers or parents taking care of the kids don't get bored to death. Like... it's not on the teletubies level of kiddiness, you know what I mean? Sounds about right, in all honesty it does exactly what it was intended to do. #118 -
totallytito (08/31/2015) [-]  On the same token, it doesn't really deserve all that hate either. Neckbeards have been around since the comicbook days, and cartoon porn has existed long before rule 34 was even official. So.. yeah... it's a typical saturday morning cartoon that got overhyped and overhated. I can agree with that. Course, I did enjoy the fandom when I was part of it, i mean, after I avoided the parts I knew were, well, not for me. In retrospect, it seems kind of silly that such a show earned the rep it did from both sides.  Kinda like how feminism didn't make it on TV since the 90's until people started freaking out. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Controversy is just free advertising.  It's popularity grew because of all the shit people gave to the fans. It became controversial which interested new people, and galvanized the people that already liked it. All the hate it got just fueled the fire. kinda like feminism? Or pretty much anything stirring up trouble? In the internet, the best way to let something die is to shut up about it. Yes. (seriously though, if you keep watching mlp then let me know what you think of episode 9, since it's one of my favorite episodes of the show.) How many episodes did you watch? It's not my thing, but like I said, it'll hold me up whole I wait for my anime episodes to roll in. Alright then. I ask because ep. 9 happens to be my favorite for reasons that you'd just have to see to understand. Then there's episode 11. A lot of people consider this the turning point for season 1.  Thats exactly how I try to be. People just need to realize that in the end, it is JUST a game. Games get played to have some fun, escape reality a little. Not to get so worked up and yell and cuss at each other. Just have fun, whether you win or lose. | ||
