i agree with what yorue saying, spanking or some other form of tough love is definitely necessary for keeping kids in line, they need to know that there are consequences to their actions, but at the same time fear of pain should not be the only motivationa child has to behave well, embarassing them on a level like that is probably going to be better for them as even if its a serious matter nobody knows what it is, and it drills in the fact that you cant always tell what the consequences of yoru actions are going to be
