Hillary did well, but interestingly was less restrained than previously. She interupted almost as often as Trump (leading to the content in one instance) and had her own equivalent of "because you'd be in jail" ("because they want a puppet"). Trump didn't do as well as he could and should have (especially by not saying that upholding a rigged vote is a bigger threat to democracy than a potentially less-than-freindly transfer of power, and that's why he can't fully comit yet given recent events and likely future revelations).

Hillary realistically did "win" the debate (a term I've never been fond of). She is the better speaker. However, that does not change the realities of the situation or my vote.
#141 - anon (10/21/2016) [-]
Hardly the same thing.

Hillary's entire thing has been calling trump literally everything she is.

She's legitimately the puppet.

Trump and Hillary go at each other,
The moderator was harsh but fair,
Hillary and Trump both had an answer for everything (maybe not a truthful one, but an answer)
Trump had meme-able one liners
Trump is asked wether he will honor the centuries old tradition of conceding in defeat of he were to lose.
Trump "We'll see"
Hillary loses shit over this, and so does the media soon afterward

TLR they both did well, but Trump said something pretty stupid that is going to cost him.

Thanks for the summary. Was Hillary asked the same question at any point?
User avatar
#214 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
No, but the moderator would ask a separate but equal question to Hillary when ever he asked one of Trump.

Best example, When he asked about the Trump tapes and accusations, he asked Hillary about the controversy surrounding Billy.

User avatar
#218 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
Emergency party meeting, where no one leave until a nominee is named. Given the gravity of the situation, the surviving party would allow all votes for dead candidate to count for the new one, because it will kill their image if they don't.
User avatar
#219 - mondamini (10/21/2016) [-]
Wouldn't tht pretty much mean an insta win for the other party as the new candidate would have 0 time to campaign
User avatar
#220 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
Normally yeah, but this is 2016 baby. No one is proud of the two main candidates except the most committed supporters, who will vote along party lines anyway.
#195 - anon (10/21/2016) [-]
if karma is a thing, Hillary should have died years ago. The fact that she's still alive and has all her limbs makes it tough to believe that anything anyone does ever has any form of consequence that isn't administered by human intervention.

If she wins the election I will have lost all faith in humanity and kill myself. Mostly becasue I just want to die and don't really give two shits about who wins the election really becasue dead men don't have to worry about who is in power of a brick of land on a ball in some space.
#186 - anon (10/21/2016) [-]
What? nothing is going to cost Trump at this point he has send some pretty fucked up shit before and GAINED supporters even then like if they shit didn't cost him it anything he said at that debate isn't going to cost him
User avatar
#126 - ohemgeezus (10/20/2016) [-]
I honestly don't get the big deal about that. There's a lot of sketchy shit involving Hillary, it'd be silly to take her winning as absolutely legit.
#129 - anon (10/21/2016) [-]
They're having DHS monitor the elections to keep it safe.
So basically they're just trying to spin that the elections can't be rigged, while simultaneously losing their shit about the Russians(supposedly) hacking DNC emails and showing that they were rigging the primary for Hillary.
It's just another media mind fuck to keep the public confused.
They will rig it, Trump has more support, and already beat the rigging in the primaries because of this massive support.
They cancelled public elections in North Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, the outlying US territories, and had in house party voting where they gave the delegates to Cruz without any public voting.
You cannot do that when your state has already taken the tax money out to buy the voting machines and other equipment.
They try to spin it like these states and territories were just having Caucuses when they clearly broke election laws to give Cruz delegates.

I think it's because most people don't think that the Dems will go as far as to change the votes. Start fights to defame Trump, he'll yeah she would do that. Conspire with multiple news stations to make her chances look better, you bet your ass she's doing that.

But actually ballot tampering? There just isn't enough evidence to convince most people.

In addition, it's not close enough of a race where a few dead people voting will swing it that much. By most estimates, Clinton will get >300 electoral votes, and that's a clean win.

#131 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
Yes, but most people don't see it that way, and if Trump is going to have any hope of this line being taken seriously, he will have to "redpill" the "normies" on this.
#116 - thatginger (10/20/2016) [-]
It will only cost him if he loses though, right?

Your right, I misspoke, it's going to hurt him in the voting booth, because dumb shit like that is what drives away the voters Trump needs to court to win.
User avatar
#147 - elvoz (10/21/2016) [-]
So what you're saying is he shouldn't have stood by his guns about a rigged election and conceded that it is okay to lose when you know it's rigged?

That's "how to lose your dedicated supporters 101" right there. People joke about him being a Clinton plant but the fact he didn't step down proves he's not. If he said "yes" to that question he would've destroyed his voterbase.
User avatar
#148 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
We both know that the Trumpets would vote for him if he went to wall street and shot someone, so don't pretends that he would get forgiven for saying he would accept the result of the election.
User avatar
#149 - elvoz (10/21/2016) [-]
He would've demonstrated that, in spite of knowing everything is rigged and the establishment is out to get him, he would let it happen.

He would've lost my vote, that's for damn sure. If he accepted it then it would've shown that he's just another pawn in the world order's scheme.

I'm undoubtedly not the only one who feels this way.

So if Trump had shown some magnanimity you wouldn't vote for him?

That's your cut off, not the perving on pageant contestants www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/timeline-of-trumps-creepiness-while-he-owned-miss-universe-w444634 , not his softening of his immigration policy mediamatters.org/video/2016/08/24/foxs-shepard-smith-calls-out-trumps-attempt-walk-back-his-deportation-force-immigration-policy/212640 , or when hee encouraged Russian agents to hack a fellow american www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2016/07/28/washington-dc-trump-russia-hacking-labott-pkg.cnn/video/playlists/dnc-email-hack/ ?

User avatar

If Trump showed that he's a fucking con, I would've cut him off. He proved that he isn't.

Also nice attempt at cherrypicking useless arguments. Not only was the pageant contestant one probably false because all the contestants have different recounts with many saying he never did it at all, but the last point is also hypocritical because the FBI have confirmed that Russia had nothing to do with any hacking that has gone on as well as the fact that at the time it was claimed that there was no classified information in Clinton's emails anyways.

Meanwhile, how come the very likely prospect of a rigged election isn't getting your attention? Do you not care that the powers-that-be are having a heavy hand in our electoral process? It wouldn't bother you at all if Trump rolled over like a fucking dog for them?
User avatar
#153 - selongb (10/21/2016) [-]
> Not only was the pageant contestant one probably false

Actual transcript from a recording of Trump
“I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed, no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it…. ‘Is everyone OK’? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.”

"Man who brags about shit all the time on Howard Stern show once again brags on the Howard Stern show. Playboy billionaire still thinks he's a playboy."

Who the fuck are you trying to fool here? Me? Are you trying to make me look stupid? How long you gonna continue to ignore the very important election rigging?

Well there is no concrete evidence to suggest that Hillary is actually altering ballots, so unless I see concrete evidence of this, then I won't consider this a major issue.

Maybe, but the court of public opinion isn't concerned with fairness, they are more concerned with image. And most of the undecided voters would rather see a magnanimous candidate than a vindictive one.

The problem I think you're overlooking is just how much distrust there is in the Clinton Administration and the Media in the US at the moment. Trump's 'I'll keep you in suspense' line indirectly plays on that distrust and to comment on it is to bring the spotlight closer to Clinton's crimes.

What is more, Trump was asked something similar in the Republican Primary about supporting the winner going forwards and whilst all the other candidates agreed, he disagreed and that GAINED him traction. It showed that he is fighting for something, it showed that he won't be cowed by peer pressure, and it shows that he values his principles over playing politics.

Basically, dissenting against the establishment ONLY causes consternation amongst those who trust the establishment more than they trust Trump, and as these e-mail leaks drive Hillary's trust into the ground it means that anti-establishment position Trump has taken only grows stronger.

How will this play out in reality? I dunno. These things are tricky to say for sure, but it has already worked overwhelmingly in Trump's favour once before, and I'd not be shocked if it did so again.

Magnanimity would've went a long way for him there; last nights debate was actually halfway decent for both candidates. If trump hadn't at alluded to his possible disgruntlement with the decision then it would've been the first time this election i didn't feel completely boned.
