They aren't anonymous. If you went to the Vatican and asked the people there they would most likely tell you their opinion. I doubt it's a secret.

your current pope is a savory one, however the Vatican strongly disagrees with him

not sure exactly what you mean by "the Vatican", and as far as I know Francis is just putting emphasis on things originally said during John Paul II's term forty years ago.

98% of religions are like that though, or rather 98% of religious people, since abrahamic religions make up a massive potion of religious folks, im ok with Buddhism/Taoism/Confucianism.

I'm a Catholic, I believe our Pope recently mentioned that actions are far more important than faith. Just because there are a lot of intolerant Christians does not mean that we are all like that.

The contradict at their base level, science requires evidence and verification, religion requires faith. They both have their bases for determining reality, religion's however would fail when applied to anything else but itself, and even then it's only for personal matters.

So I shouldn't say religion and science are separate, you can certainly believe you have concrete evidence of your religion, creationists are a prime example for that, I should say "faith" and science are incompatible ideals.
User avatar #57 - emrakul (06/12/2013) [-]
fair enough. I boil it down into the two basic areas of human thought, philosophy and science, where basically everything falls into one or the other and generally they stay separate. Philosophy is by definition unprovable; i.e. it's not science, but that does not take away from its importance, it merely sets it apart.

well yeah, he had warnings and could have moved long before, and what I was saying about busting through it is icebergs aren't just a block of ice the size of a house, it would have probably scrapped it the same way but across the bottom from the huge ice underneath. plus if it didn't shatter the iceberg, it would have stopped the ship because all it is, is a big metal tube full of air and people with little motors moving it, it would have probably stopped it right there in its path

I love Tywin Lannister as well, though he is fairly evil.
Really don't give a fuck about khaleesi and her dragons, everything overseas bored me slightly. Girlfriend loves that side of the story though.

I find Tywin a fascinating characterf, its a shame he isint a POV i would of loved to read his chapters, instead of boring jaime.
User avatar #99 - emrakul (06/04/2013) [-]
Give Tywin credit, he is exactly who he is and all the "betrayals" have come when people forgot that fact.

that's why in the books jaime grows one all redemption status

DUDE! I never thought about it like that.

After reading both Crows and Dragon, dare I say it, I like Jamie better than Tyrion.
