| Nyaaaah. BioWare did confirm that this was the end to Shepard part of the Mass Effect stories, but that the ME Universe will live on and flourish. What everyone seems to forget is that during the course of 3 games you've had but one end goal: To Destroy the Reapers. In the end the Reapers realize that Shepard won't stop do achieve this, so they give him other options. Also, I thought from the beginning that Starchild had created the Reapers in fear of something bigger and darker of which he refers to as "The Machine Devils"... but the Leviathan DLC completley wrecked that theory. But when you look at the ending of both Synthesis and Control, Shepard's eyes turn into the same robotic eyes that Saren and the Illusive Man had. The eyes turning to that is the final sign of complete Indoctrination. | Also there's the other possibilities: Have you watched any of the "Indoctrination Theory" videos? There's a few valid out there. Many has to do with the wish of a new game with Shepard. But there's one which explains what I think is more possible of what actually happens in the ending. Destroying the Reapers is the only choice you have to succeed entirely, but this also means you kill the Geth and EDI, leading you into another emotional dilemma. I chose destroy. Then there's Control, but it's pretty clear from the beginning that you cannot control what controls you. (Illusive Man) Then there's synthesis, merging organics with synthethics so there would be no real organic life for the Reapers to harvest. But the theory about the Indoctrination is that everything that goes on on the sidelines during ME3 (Shepards dreams, for example) are attemps from Harbinger to Indoctrinate Shepard. #41

N. Korean citizen (02/22/2013) [-] If you have extended cut you can just shoot at the kid and lose the war, also everyone dies, and then there is a flash-forward to the future and someone watching liara's message about reapers. But that was just some candyass ending BioWare put in it because EA were bitches and the fanbase was complaining of lack of choices. But it wasn't a valid choice if you actually cared. There's no possible way that Shepard would just stop there and look at every last living person on Earth draws their final breaths. Nyaaaah. | For the most part your individual decisions didn't have that big of an impact on the world because everything basically came down to that last choice. although having Thane Krios in ME3 was beastly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LHu6fyyyi8 and i almost came when they tied in some of the side missions like the asari writings and resource gathering with conrad verner. | ||
