That is in the light novel though (unless I missed something) and I'm not arguing that, since anime has become so shit (not light novels because thay are not as depending on getting money back) that if there is a male MC he will almost always only be nice and slightly perverted to market to all those loser teenagers to mid 20s so that they will feel good about themselves since they can all see themselves as nice and slightly perverted (even fucking Hitler and Stalin in some aspects could do that which just shows how fucking stupid characters like that are). The only spin off anime is the one with Misaka (which was actually really good). Sorry dude, but I will much rather how an anime with fanservice and an average story at best than an anime with such a horrible character that is in every fucking episode.

It was better becaue Touma was simply a nice guy, nothing else, that was his entire personality and every girl fell in love with him. And that shit happened every fucking episode. It's always the same shit. It was a 2/10 at best.

I can't argue convincingly against that since the novels and anime kind of blend together in my head, but Touma is far from a one-dimensional character. Hell, there's even an arc dedicated to pointing out the fact that what Touma does isn't 'justice', it's just fulfilling his own whims.

I must admit that I started DxD only because I had watched a bunch of kiddy and heavy anime and was then looking for a good ecchi romp.
The first half of S1 was mildly interesting but, in the second half, shit got real good. So much so that I still remember it a whole year later (now). The way it was executed was pretty damn brilliant.

I still need to watch season 3.
