That's the reason they cover Stormtrooper's faces and show rebel ones, and why all the main heroes are good looking while the villains are deformed. You're meant to empathize with the rebels.

I think many of the songs are quite good too. Sad that they had to pull it out and ruin it like that. I did really like the premise and attitudie of the original naruta, and shippuden seemed like an escape from the filler hell, but the it was just fillers too... Alltough i do apprechiate straight out fillers a bit more than One Pieces way of just dragging out like hell.

By the end my party was Luca, Alice, Promestein, Sylph, Gnome, Sonia, Sara and errr, I forget who my 8th was, I think it was that idol succubus girl. And they directly state who Nero and Neris are, a bit more than halfway through part 1, so they weren't planning on keeping that fact as a major plot twist.
