Same here. I don't think anyone is the same after watching this show

I like Clannad a lot, me and my gal actually watched it together and I know it'll sound a little girly, but I had shed quite a few tears over this series... But I like minimalistic wallpapers, or abstract ones.

Girly? Hell no! If you didn't cry, you have no soul. It was the first anime that made me cry and that may be why I love it so.

And how do you know they weren't attacked by the first guy and are acting in self defense?

You're taught use of force in a CC class. Once you had him restrained you wouldn't keep strangling him, you should simply hold him until he can be detained either with the help of another person, or a police officer.

And what if the guy had no idea what he was doing?

You're going to shoot a guy for trying to defend himself with no real knowledge of self defence?

I saw a man being strangled, possibly to death. Not restrained. I was nearly mugged a year ago, and I managed to restrain the guy (luckily a cop happened by shortly thereafter) you can tell the difference between someone choking someone to death, and someone who is afraid for their life restraining an attacker.
