Tinfoil hat time:

While some people and politicians are simply deluded this is the right course of action because muh tolerance and muh multiculturalism, rumor has it there is a bigger motion underway.

Have you ever heard about the Club of Rome? This elitist group have come to the conclusion that democracy is not a viable system and uniting the people under a common enemy is necessary.

But where can you get a common enemy in europe that has gotten trough unprecedented ammount of bloodshed to a state of maintainable inner peace without territorial disputes? Look no further than the neighboring region that has spent a better part of the recorded history at war. Violent refugees are easy to come by, just spread a few rumors, the area is easy to stir up.

Their plan is simple, really. The people must revolt violently. And amongst the blood flowing trough the streets strong individuals will have a chance to stand up and lead the masses. Guess which group those will belong to. After a bit of infighting, new kings and emperors, though maybe not in tittle, will rise to rule with iron fist over their herds of human cattle.

But how do you ignite a violent revolt amongst the peace loving europeans? Easy, just push them far enough. Having infiltrated and controlled the governing bodies of european countries, they steer the ship to crash.

Still, letting in refugees would not shake the stoic continent. Police would get the situation under controll. How do you prevent that from happening? Just order the police to not take any action. They have to follow orders and any dissenters can easily be labeled racists.
But what if that's still not enough and could be attributed to poor judgement. Christian roots preach forgiveness after all. You need a stronger emotion. Betrayal.
The governing body must show that its people are no longer a concern, just as we have seen in Cologne. Betrayed people no longer feel compelled to answer to the state. And as the organisation dissolves, the conspiracy will pick up the pieces.

Tinfoil hat time over.

This is all too much real. Hold me, fj. I don't want to see the island of peace sink.

He was no king. He was also influenced by that fire bitch WAAAYAYYY too much. For fucks sake he killed his own daughter. Also we don't actually know if she killed him, as it's implied and not really shown. Unless there's some book nonsense.
#74 - cherubium (01/10/2016) [-]
He does not listen as much to the fire bitch in the book nor is he such a cunt that he would kill his daughter The battle has not taken place yet in the books most stupid shit in the show is the show writers input in the story

Tbh I really liked him as a character but I didn't agree with him in the show. I've not read the books but I kinda like that the show's taken some creative license, I wouldn't think of it as a recreation of the books but maybe as a alternate timeline.
#76 - cherubium (01/10/2016) [-]
That is one good way to look at the show

the water is held near the equator, because the moons gravity holds a majority of the water on planet earth in the equator. the moon has a bundle of water between it self and the place on earth that is closest to the moon at that specific time. and on the opposite side, less water accumulates because a lot of it is held between the moon and the closest place on planet earth to it. as the earth rotates the bundle of water moves, because the moon is relatively stationary during during the earths rotation. although it does move, it does so very little during each day.
#115 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
It also has a pile of water on the exact opposite side of the planet as the moon. the low tides are 90 degrees on either side of the planet closest to the moon

#93 - beardgasm (12/27/2015) [-]
The moon's gravity makes it kind of bulge out from the earth. It's kind of hard to explain, but there are some good images if you google it.

I'm not sure anymore man i thought it was to do with moons gravity but now the earths rotation and the sun have stepped in and I'm not sure anymore.i dont like to talk out of my ass and I'm too busy to do some research. so ill just leave it at i dont know

#116 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
I think it's a cumulative effect of the moon's gravity and earth's that causes the pile of water on the opposite side of the moon

Moon has gravity, pulls the water up, then orbits the planet and pulls it a different direction, pulling it down. Esentially , all the water is trying to move towards the moon and swells up in the closest spot as all of the ocean moves toward that spot slightly. Crazy things happen whe you have a lot of matter interacting with another lot of matter.

That's actually a common misconception.
Tides are due to the Earths rotation, not gravitational influence from the moon.
User avatar
#100 - beardgasm (12/27/2015) [-]
False. The gravity of the moon is one of the major influences on the tides. The Earth's rotation also plays into it.
#34 - ketiw (12/27/2015) [-]
This man is actually right and i will log in to get thumb down for truth just like Galileo
User avatar
#35 - therealmaster (12/27/2015) [-]
It's both actually.

"Tides are the result of the gravitational attraction of the sun and the moon on the earth."

www.ndbc.noaa.gov/educate/tides.shtml
#67 - ketiw (12/27/2015) [-]
lol it's wrong and it's .gov it's not a gravitation attraction
#71 - therealmaster (12/27/2015) [-]
Did you even watch the video you linked?

youtu.be/pwChk4S99i4?t=286

The moon does have an effect on the Earth's tides, but tides don't solely exist because of the moon. The amount surface area of the water is responsible for the amount of movement we see in ocean tides.
#74 - ketiw (12/27/2015) [-]
man it's not the facts that people get wrong (moon cause tides) it's the explanation (moon sucks water on it's side) that people get wrong. I also want to add that by the time i contributed on this topic for the first time anon #7 had a negative thumb karma.

i fucken hate this emojis except the sarcastic one
