While I agree that it's just a matter of personal taste, I disagree that they're okay because some people like them. The fact that people like something doesn't make it good, Hitler had a bunch of jerks following him (I know this is WAY too different for an example, but you get what I mean). I'm not saying that they're really okay, I'm saying that some people like them, and I'm fine with that. To me its 'gay' and 'homosexual' the gay people are the ones that march around in short shorts and sparkly costumes, making sure everyone knows that they like people of the same gender, homosexual people don't care if people know, even if they make it obvious, they are open about it and that's it. They are very annoying, and I believe that one, or both of them, are either bi or gay, which would explain the whole girly look and voice. Just because they're only words doesn't make it okay to say whenever you please. If im standing in line at a store or something, the last person I want behind me is an obnoxious kid swearing as much as he can. Is saying fuck, shit, ass, etc. okay? Yes, do it in private with people you know dont care. But its just rude in public, and keeping TV shows clean probably keeps it an overall taboo among people in society. Media has a very heavy impact on people's values.

I wasn't saying that people should go around cussing whenever or where ever they want, I'm saying that if you don't want to hear bad words just stay away from the shows that are known for a lot of bad language. I know they can be offensive, but its not like saying something bad is going to make someone go and kill someone. Yes media does have a big impact on everything, but that's why parents should monitor what their kids do, instead of just wanting everything fixed so they don't have to pay attention to their kids much.

That may be, but in my experience I have had multiple occasions where I accepted the "I'm just not looking to date anyone right now." excuse, only for them to start going out with someone else a few days later. The underlying meaning there is that although they may even believe that they don't want to date anyone at the time, the real answer is that they don't want to date YOU right now.

Some people try to be nice that way, just saying "I'm not interested in you" is a little suckish compared to "I'm not looking for someone right now", neither of them are that great, but some people are just like that I guess. Maybe what you said will work for some females, but others will probably end up just hating any guy that does that to her.
