(I will make the opening like Amanda's book, then the rest will be a normal RP)
Its been three years.
Three goddamn years since the world went to hell. Three months since the the dead began to roam the streets.
But let's rewind. Back to month three.
Back to where I met my companions.
We had met in a small suburb outside of Dallas. Oak valley, I believe it was called.
Back then, there was nobody. The streets were clear, void of life, with the exception of the abandoned and looted cars. The houses had been left untouched for the most part. The hordes could come in quickly, silently, and deadly.
Gem was our leader, though she often butted heads with everyone else.
We had saved her life once, stopping some of the bastards that broke into her lab. This is where we will begin the story

(Alright, my bad)
A loud banging on the outer door snapped Gem out of her trance, before the sound of glass breaking caused her to hide once more. This wouldn't be the first time they had broken in. She looked out, there were about 25 of them. too much for her to handle alone. She began running, but found herself cornered. A loud bang rang through her ears. The monsters turned around. More cracks came out, more and more of the creatures falling down on the floor. There were 3 figures standing there, each holding their weapon of choice.
Gem got up and brushed herself off.
"Thanks so much!" She panted, still stricken with fear.
Richard was the first to approach, Shaking her metal hand "I'm Richard. This is my wife, Amanda, and Heart."
She approached Heart, extending her hand

"Nice to meet you as well" Gem takes off her lab coat, revealing a blood-stained tank top under it. She had a arm made out of blood stained metal...well it wasn't bloodstained before...regardless. She also had Dark hair and grey eyes. She extends the blade in her prosthetic, and motions for the others to lead the way. "There's nothing left here anyways, I just came back for my blueprints. You guys don't mind if I tag along, do you?"
I lead the way to a safe house in the middle of a large open field, looking back at Gem about halfway there. "Woah. Your arm... What happened?" I blush in shame as soon as I ask. I brush my hair off of my face and add "Sorry. You don't have to answer that..."
"Oh no no, its fine. I was young, playing near the forest near my home around sun down and got attacked by a wolf...he tore a good chunk of my arm off, right at the shoulder. I actually designed this myself, and I was working on connecting nerve endings to wires before the outbreak"
I pause it that. "Wait... Nerve endings? Don't you mean muscles, or tendons? It would be kind of pointless to attach your nerves. Unless you also made a way so that you could feel things with your metal arm."
I think about that before realizing that some nerves don't feel at all, but send electrical currents to and from your brain.
"Oh, wait. Nevermind. But I don't think that would be a good idea unless it was waterproof."

I look carefully at the mechanics of the entire arm, pausing at the connection, and the blade mechanism. I make a mental note to ask for the blueprints to that later.
"So you can feel with it? Or no? I'm only at about middle school level when it comes to human anatomy, so I don't know any limitations of live prosthetics."
I thoughtlessly poke at the exposed wires and nerves wondering if it's a good idea at all to leave exposed inner tissue uncovered during the zombie outbreak.

I pull her hand upwards, exposing her metal palm.
"Wow..." Really? That's all I could say?
I poke at the pads a bit, before asking the obvious.
"So how'd you make those? It looks so simple at first glance, but it's such a complicated concept to design for mechanics like that." My fascination with the tech used in Gems arm must make me seem like I'm in nerd heaven.

(I really need to work on responding faster.)
I pull out two kunai knives, easily killing the others.
"We should hurry and get inside. There's bound to be more on their way."
I quickly retrieve the bladed projectiles from the skulls of the zombies, and crush them with my foot.
"You can never be too careful."
I motion for the group to follow, and head inside the safehouse.

I've been having a bad day... Usually, when that happens, I just let it all out for others on the internet to see without seeing how much worse it really is... But these bitches don't even seem to give a shit. They think it's some kind of game... It kind of makes me want to stop trying so hard to hold on to my sanity... Maybe then, people will finally start to see just how bad they've all fucked up? Maybe if I let go... Just for a day...? I'll finally get the help I need...
Do you still collect items? ;3
If not, if you kinda like, don't mind sparing some, I'd be glad to take them off your hands.
Rude, I know. But hey, might as well try
