That's true this individual post won't be much in the grand scheme of things, but it's something. Plus every time you, or someone else agree's with this post and thumbs it up, then that something becomes a little bigger. This whole thing was posted 43 minutes ago and 108 people have already seen it, of those 108 about 60 have probably actually read it and of those 60 about 30 have likely considered it. If 20 of those 30 people agree with what he's saying then he's just sewed the seeds of 20 people that agree with him. That's 20 people that now have a chance to go and spread this sentiment and it hasn't even been an hour which is a pretty good contribution to the conversation if you ask me.

That's what this post is, it's doing something about it. The internet's kind of like one big conversation and words are in fact actions, when you state your thoughts and someone else reads them they consider those thoughts and respond in return.

This is something I think people should consider and when people agree with my sentiments they're likely to repeat them with their own bit of perspective on it, and when they repeat them others will see them saying that and the sentiment will both spread as more people see it, and evolve as more people add their own 2 cents to it.

Because at this point the extremes of the two conflicting sides are just saturated into fucking everything. Even shit that has nothing to do with the whole liberal vs conservative things tends to boil down into a huge 'this is all your fault!' rather than even considering the individual aspects that led up to said problems.

Shooting happens? IT'S ALL THE CONSERVATIVES FAULT! bombing happens? IT'S ALL THE LIBERAL'S FAULT! Corruption in the police force? FUCK THE CONSERVATIVES! Corruption in the media? FUCK THE LIBERALS! Big corporation does something awful? CONSERVATIVES ARE EVIL! Mob of people do something awful? LIBERALS ARE EVIL! Bad Muslims? Liberals. Bad Christians? Conservatives. Etc. etc.

That's how all the world issues are boiling down now days, rather than trying to ya know actually think about the problems and try to conceive of potential solutions to issues at hand people are just using every little bit of world news as ammunition to take stabs at the opposing party.
