You can also use mind control at the beginning on the missle room.

a fully upgraded shield and any other means of dealing with incoming shots will remove the other weapon systems (not the special attacks of the flagship), jsut those damn missles need to be taken out. Second form is the form I always find the hardest. so many bots and that instant boarding drone.
User avatar #31 - effthree (06/23/2014) [-]
Phase 2 was hard to get a handle on. That's why I like having matids, handy for that instant drone, four shields helps a lot with outside drones, once I've hit the helm at least once I smash the shields then the drone room.

Update 6: Dusting off the cobwebs, sorry about the wait anyone who is still paying attention, it's odd, I feel bad for playing video games less lately. The majority of admin's minions are tolerating one another, the skin mod's writer never got back to me about Willow's reluctance to adopt her new hair, she and her mechanics work fine, she just looks like she's wearing a cheap anime wig, so my OCD may force Willow to go away for now. I may also have to make a tough decision regarding the flora overhaul, it's conflicts with the general graphics overhaul cause a blocky texture that is what stumped me into backing away previously, the two are so pretty and fun individually, argh!

As I said everything runs together, but not well enough for me to put a stamp on it, I am going to be putting in some time as often as I can during the week, sorry again for those who are still waiting, it may not be the best out there, but I plan to deliver... (insert bad courier pun?)

Update 6.5: Breakthrough! Jacked with load order a bit, got the plantlife to play along, moving on to getting the sky and weather admin's minions to cooperate.
#163 - effthree (08/05/2014) [-]
Update 7: Load order is working well, to the point where I'm actually trying to play the game with everything now, need to iron out the wrinkles, everything indoors is running great and I can run from one end of the Mojave to the other hucking holy hand grenades and the game refuses to crash(YAY!) but there are still hickups and the graphics cube out on me on occasion.

Update 7.1: Just checking in, project may be on the back burner but it's not forgotten, school starting up soon means I'll be back in a normal routine and actually spending time at home during the week

Commenting to be a part of this. This looks awesome, and I want to overhaul FO:NV but don't know anything about modding apart from installng them. I have no clue how to tinker with the load order or code to iron out hiccups.

Let me know when you've hit the final load order.

Update 5: Good news and bad news, resolved limited memory issue with the addition of a few ili and dll things, and binary stuff, (omg I did stuff with binary!) not sure why it worked but it was interesting, took notes, will be included in my final instructions. I have to overhaul the load order to get it to mesh with the new setup though, part of the memory thing is a sort of graphics patch which janks with the other graphics stuff.

Also, apparently Willow wears a giant exclamation point box, not sure how I made this happen, putting a pin in it.

If anyone's still checking this sorry it's taking so long, I just hope when I'm done I can help people like me who aren't programmers eventually build a pretty and functional basic modset!
