- Getting over it with Ben Faggot.
- IIRC it's actually: "I bless the rains down in Africa."
I always thought it was "I miss the rains"
there is no rain to miss
i thought it was 'i test the rains down in africa'
how about "i missed the reins" and he was trying to grab reins for an elephant
Same. This is deeply disturbing
I always heard “I kiss the rains down in Africa”
Didn’t make sense. It makes more sense now.
It's "I catch some rays down in Africa"
He was a sting ray hunter. That or a sunbather, probably the first one though
, Intentionally wrote reins.
so you changed the verb and used a homophone of 'rains' and called everyone dumbasses; what's the punchline? people who suck ass at humor are pretty funny so I guess there's that at least
Yeah, and I was just sharing the perspective that I always thought I heard “kiss”. Not really intending to be funny
Ah fuck, looks like I forgot to take my anti-retard pills this morning

- Real talk for a second about the Dark Tower books. Kinda sorta…
I was actually highly surprised by the high-quality ending. I like me some Stephen King for an entertaining read, but I did not think he could pull off something like that. Very well done.
Stephen King has never been able to write good endings. The books are always amazing all the way through and the entire climax resolution falling tension and conclusion all take place in the span of a page or two every time
u read the long walk?
honestly to me it was the only ending that would have fit, any other would have been worse
I think it is a problem that many authors run into. The anti climax. IT had the same problem. Hell a lot of dean Koontz had similar issues. I would say the same with the author Darren Shan. Another Author I love. But at the end of the day. Maybe that is how they are intended. To show that whilst the journey may have been hectic and packed with adventure. When that all ends. The destination is just that a destination.
All of the books were garbage after wizard and glass.
I blame his car crash.
The Dark Tower movie with Idris Elba serves as a sequel to the series. I think the whole circle aspect with the story continuing over and over is a good way to end a story. It's a similar aspect of Bioshock with how they eventually had the end of the Infinite story be the start of the original Bioshock. It's not so much that the end of the Dark Tower series was a cheap way to end the series, it was just sort of ironic--the end and the beginning is similar to the world he had created in which the world continues to turn.
