The problem there is that, while I'm certain it was unintentional, by saying that as a feminist, you want to defend women whose partners hit them, you risk implying that either only women get abused, or that only the women who are abused are worth defending. While women tend to suffer from domestic abuse more often, it's not by much (Around 60% of all cases are against women), and that by no means devalues the suffering of the men that are abused, who often have a harder time seeking the help they need due to fear of ridicule and unlikeliness of winning such a court case that may follow. Not only do the men risk losing property to their abuser, they also will definitely have to leave any children they may have to the abuser..

Ridding the world of domestic abuse is a noble goal, but to imply feminism would do so is still less searching for equality and more putting the entire fairer sex on a pedestal, whether you mean to do so or not.

Actually i'm talking about women in the middle east or africa for example, i'm sorry if that wasn't clear. Don't try and make me look like someone that thinks that domestic abuse only happens to women, becaue i'm not.

Feminism used to be about giving equality to women since they did not have it. Now a days even when they are equal by every right and even better off when it comes to legal cases (in 1st world countries atleast) it's still not enough. Feminism is no longer needed, not here atleast. Perhaps in middle eastern countries and the such.

I don't really care what you do with your 'social justice' but don't change laws that already benefit women

ARE YOU FOR REAL?!?!? A feminist that uses feminism as awareness rather then using it as an excuse to be a bitch?!?!?

You are one of the rare few and you should feel good about it
