So you don't like watermelon or koolaid? Stop being a dumb cunt watermelon is delicious and koolaid is cheap as fuck and tasty. You're telling me that the spanish regularly use foods that they've been growing and using for centuries? What a fucking shocker, especially reinforced by the fact that anyone not spanish hates those foods.

I don't care about stereotypes as a whole but when people actually think that those stereotypes are a realistic representation of a culture, they're retarded.

Stereotypes exist because we created them by suppressing and bastardizing a culture that was never allowed to grow.

The only aspect I took issue with in your statement was implying he's immature for not liking the rap genre. Made it sound like you were being a bit arrogant.

I think that what he meant wasn't that he was immature for hating rap, but for saying that he'd rather be skinned alive then be forced to listen to it. Such statements can come across as immature even if the original intent was to convey just how much this person hates rap.

Well when people refuse to give something a chance they're being immature in my opinion and again when someone is that vehement about not liking something so simple, they're usually not giving it a chance. If he said "I don't like the heavy use of downbeats and unorthodox use of orchestral instruments in most rap" that would be a fair argument.

Just because someone doesn't like a music genre doesn't mean they're ignorant to the less mainstream artists. Dude's allowed to dislike rap regardless of your own opinion.
User avatar
#52 - dudemiesterman (07/13/2016) [-]
Yeah I never said he wasn't allowed to but when people feel the need to express that they hate hate hate a genre of music, they usually hate the shitty aspect and never considered there being a good one. But oh forgive me for trying to share with someone that I think they should look for decent rap artists.

That's cool, I love all that stuff too. I'm just saying don't limit yourself man there's a lot of good music out there. I thought I hated country and rap music until I turned off the radio and searched for consistently good artists and I can honestly say I wouldn't be as good a person without a lot of the rap music I've listened to.

Yeah i was 16 once also but then I realized that popularized media of a group does not represent the whole group and i listened to a bunch of underground and independent rappers who aren't controlled by the industry and told to tell everyone to drink and go clubbing and do drugs.
