They didn't just simply throw out an older generation. Both the PS4 and Xbox One are unable to play older generations due to hardware compatibility issues. I'm sure they're both going to offer the favorites from the past consoles in an online store, for a price of course.

Oh no no, it was just a wondering question I've had for sometime (because its hard enough to get a Hackintosh 100% working with compatible parts, thought it was the same for the other way around). And here Apple products are about 2-3x the price in USA so...yeah. I have a PC myself tho waiting for Linux to get more game acceptance to migrate to it.

But can you do a complete and clean install or does it give some type of error or incompatibility? (completely format the disk and just install Linux OS)

I have never tried that before, and truthfully I don't feel the need to. But in all reality I'm about 90% sure there is a way to do it. I personally like Mountain Lion for what it does, it just kills me to know that I dropped a pretty penny on this overpriced machine. If you have a big enough hard drive, you can just format it so you can have as much space needed for the Linux partition. I've messed around with linux before and just never really got into it. If I were you though, I would highly suggest a high end PC, unless if you want the choice of Mountain Lion, since apple is too anal to let ML on any other type of computer (without creating a "hackintosh")

No judgement here. What you typed made me seriously think about how we live our lives. And that almost made me cry, more than the actual post itself. Thank you for that wonderful comment
