It doesn't matter where it orginated from and NO the land wasnt give to 'us' if you are reffering to the 'Promise land' the Americas was given to the Lehi and his Family. There is more than one promise land. another example is mose's and his people.

If you knew your doctrine better i think your 'entire' prospective would change. The people setainly make up the church, but the reason i go is not for the people or for help. I go to learn.

Yes. I was angry about your comment. I made that perfectly clear. Past that, yes, you are a "Latter-Day Saint" as long as you are baptised and go to church, attend meeting, take sacrament, etc. I choose not to pay 10%, as nobody has ever helped my family in my life, and I don't think they plan to. Just a bunch of fancy pricks "caring" for the rich. What do they give to the poor? Food? Some, yes, and then about double the food's weight in BoMs and Bibles. Don't tell me they care. To you, 10% is nothing. But to me, 10% is my lunch money. So go to your fancy church, dress like a prick, and forget about all those who actually need help. Just like all the rest.

Being baptised puts your name on the records and you make your commitments to god. But if you are absent for 4 weeks in a row you are class as an inactive member(Im assisstant Clerk but thats common knowlage). Yes you are a LDS but by not doing LDS things you are not a LDS.

If i assume currectly you must live in America. I can understand how you feel. When i was youger we lived there for a year. it was as if the members there would put on a face when they would go to church and act all good but out side theyd be different. It was alot harder to make relations with people because they were so snobby.

But in Australia and New Zealand thats not the case. Because we all have a love in the same thing.

I live in Australia and before i live in New Zealand. When i was in NZ i lost my job, i couldn't pay my rent so i asked for help. The church then stepped in and payed my rent until i found a job 2 months later.

I moved to Australia and introduced myself in the ward and said i was looking for a job, thanks to another member i had a j0b and was gaining a income(of $89,000p/y) 2 weeks later.
