The thing is, it's an ongoing porn comic. At some point, I can almost guarantee you, that cuteness will evolve into some kind of weird anal, with him turning into an animal, or with someone else coming in, and it leading to some kind of threesome.

So I will focus on more of the perception of America and how that influences the debate between those living inside and outside of America rather than the admittedly beaten to death aspect of the US being a society very much focused on individual liberty while European nations tend to focus on collective liberty. I think the fixation on guns comes from nearly every other country who bought into the emotionally driven arguments to ban guns looking in on America and blaming all of our issues on the presence of guns. It's not that the mental health system in this country is fucked, or that there is a major gang problem (which accounts for over 80% of homicides using firearms in this country), it's that we allow our citizenry to own guns. The fact that violent crime has more than halved in 20 years on a nationwide level despite the undeniable proliferation of firearms is willfully ignored by those looking from the outside in. The fact that gun control is a miserable failure in the cities that implement it the most (i.e. Chicago, LA, Washington DC, NYC) is also ignored. Those in Europe or Australia don't hear about how often firearms are used in self defense (lowest estimate, found by Johns Hopkins Institute, by no means a pro gun organisation, was 70,000 times a year, with the highest ranging up over a million) , they don't hear about when someone carrying stops a rape, they only hear about the mass shootings. And it's this reporting that in turn causes the focus to be on guns. Events such as Sandy Hook are used to reinforce the hoplophobic feelings of those living outside the US who have no experience or knowledge about firearms and their uses within the context of self defense and general law abiding citizens.

America has a much larger population than England or France or Germany. We have 330 million people over here. Although there are a ton of really good people there's also a higher saturation of bad people too. In Egnlad you only hear about it every once in a while, but if you blow those numbers up to scale with America's we're on a similar track. Americans face more threats due to our higher population.
Further, Firearms are so ingrained into our culture just from what our history has been. Yes, lots of countries have had violent pasts, but ours is so much more recent than theirs. 200 years as opposed to 600 or a thousand in some cases. We hold on to our firearms because we protect our country from other forces, we protect ourselves from one another, and sometime we enjoy going hunting. I personally don't like it, but a lot of people do, and a lot of people can swing the vote to keep the guns.

Further, if you want to see examples of how guns slip into countries after de weaponizing of a country seriously just google English gun violence in the last five years. It's not a matter of "Maybe" it's a matter of "when". especially when we have such a massive population. Kindof pointless to think that any body could disarm the American people. Especially considering how many people are prepared for such a specific event.

This is the last thing I'm going to ask. And I mean this in the respectful way I'm capable of.
Why are you, as a people, so fixated on guns?
I mean, I hear a lot about violent histories and the Constitution and all, but like, you aren't the only nation with a violent history. You're not the only nation with a Constitution.

Earlier, you said that your's was the only Constitution to give the citizens 100% of the power, but I'm sorry, that shit just ain't true. England has that kind of Constitution. Ireland has that kind of Constitution. Fucking France and Germany have that Constitution, because most of the Constitutions today are based off the American one.

I guess what I'm asking is: what makes Americans special?

Ok, let's live in a fucking fantasy land where bad guys can't get guns because bad guys follow laws. This guy is ex-military who's gone of the deep end. lost his marbles and is attacking your family with a knife. You have zero training and he's in full combat mode. Your best bet would be to shoot him, but oops, you don't have a gun, you try to disarm him but not only doe he kill you, but he also rapes and kills your wife.

A firearm is not only the way we defend our homes, it's the way we defend ourselves from an overbearing state. When a government crosses a line it should know that it will listen to the people or the people will remove it from power via vote or force.
That's there, in our fucking constitution. The one thing that makes our constitution different from any on earth is that it give people 100% of the power. If at any time the government becomes too overbearing we have every right to abolish it and put a new on in it's place.
It's not because we like shooting each other. It's because we like having the ability to defend ourselves if we have to shoot someone. I really don't understand why you don't see the issue with a de-weaponized state. That's how totalitarianism happens.

I don't think you actually get it.

There will always be bad people. that is simply to be expected. You cannot always count on others to be there to help you if a bad person is trying to hurt you or your family. So how do you stop said bad person? avg response time is 8 mins. only takes .016 seconds for a bullet to travel 10 feet. In .016 seconds your whole family could be dead. How do you stop this from happening ? You kill the person trying to kill you.

America is about independence. If you have to depend on the police or anyone else to protect yourself or your family then you're in the wrong place, pal.

real easy too, takes no work, there's very little opportunity to defend yourself with a firearm pointed at you, even if you have your own on you. There's a reason that there are so many child soldiers these days, because any simpleton can shoot somebody from across the street.

Whether it's real or not? I like a fake story as much as the next guy, I don't know why it would make it less funny, we laugh at movies all the time and they're fake stories. But come on, there's no way in hell this is real, just the idea of a cop having his weapon drawn in a circumstance like this is enough to prove that.
