Kind of an unpopular opinion, but Reach was my favorite. The story was just awesome.

Master Chief's still a total fuckin' badass, that's not debatable.
User avatar #20 - ugoboom (12/16/2014) [-]
the ending of reach was really badass, it stuck with me much harder than the other games

but most of the campaign was just 80% of what it could of been
User avatar #21 - oborawatabinost (12/16/2014) [-]
Yeah, I haven't played it in a long time, but you're probably right.

Except the soundtrack. Soundtrack was 100%.
User avatar #22 - ugoboom (12/16/2014) [-]
that and ODST had the best halo soundtracks, agreed m8

really, no bungie halo game had even a mediocre soundtrack. I miss marty
User avatar #23 - oborawatabinost (12/16/2014) [-]
Yeah. I don't even remember hearing music in Halo 4. I'm sure there was, but it just never got my attention.

Whoever did Halo 4's music needs to git gud
User avatar #24 - ugoboom (12/16/2014) [-]
Davidge made one good song: Halo 4 OST: Solace
Yeah the rest were 2/10 would not bang
User avatar #26 - oborawatabinost (12/16/2014) [-]
Hmmm..not bad. No clue what part of the game it's from, though.
User avatar #27 - ugoboom (12/16/2014) [-]
lol yeah, I can't remember either. such a shame for 343's first real game
User avatar #28 - oborawatabinost (12/16/2014) [-]
Yeah, I don't remember what went down with Bungie and all that, but I wish it didn't.

Hell, I don't have an xbox anymore, so either way's fine with me.
User avatar #29 - ugoboom (12/16/2014) [-]
Bungie was never a 100% halo company, and they just wanted to do other shit. a good 1/3rd left bungie to form 343, while the rest of the devs stood with bungie.

honestly, bungie kinda futurama'd it. they made enough games to satisfy me without it running down the series into obscurity.
User avatar #30 - oborawatabinost (12/16/2014) [-]
Yeah, that's a good point.

Yeah basically someone pulled on a little string connected to some idiot who cheated on her Bf(with 5 guys no less) for good reviews....and well. After she got attacked, practically every single website for "games journelism" posted the -exact- same article practically on the same day, some only MINUTES apart from eachother. Needless to say people decided to investigate the obviously illegal activities and....well, this wonderful work of journelism says only a ffragment of what was found...

press.gamergate.me/dossier/

Seriously, it's worth reading, not just for gaming, but to see what happened so it doesn't happen anywhere else.
User avatar #74 - areancoconut (12/15/2014) [-]

Yeah, because that's what happens.

lol, did you also stop breathing "for a good while" while you were at it?
#15 - rainbowblast (12/15/2014) [-]
Eh of course it matters. People are finally realizing how corrupt the media is and hopefully people begin to realize how corrupt all media is. Also Gamergate has been getting quite a bit of mainstream coverage did you miss Colbert's interview with Anita or the CBS interview with Brianna?
User avatar #77 - cdmin (12/15/2014) [-]
the media was, is and will always be corrupt. and gamergate wont stop them. they are just some people who want attention knowing they cant change anything
User avatar #45 - yayitzmatt (12/15/2014) [-]
What is Gamer Gate exactly? I honestly have no idea, except for something about boobs and oppression.

Yes, I live under a rock.
User avatar #63 - newprinny (12/15/2014) [-]
Gaming media corrupt as fuck, Gamergate tries to stop it, media spins it and makes it all about sexism and ignores everything that proves them wrong, just further proving how corrupt they are, dood.

User avatar #23 - donatelo (12/15/2014) [-]
nope. gamar gate does not matter. most people most likely look at gamer gate and see it as a "kids" issue. video games in general have a stigma, so once the general public even sees a mention of this they wouldn't give a shit. gaming journalism is incredibly niche media, to make a connection to general media is a stretch. ask any adult knowledgeable in real current issues if they have heard/give a shit about GG. i can guarantee not one does.
#27 - rainbowblast (12/15/2014) [-]
Just because it is not a well known issue does not mean it is irrelevant. The way I see it is that hopefully this will make the up and coming generation more skeptical of the mainstream media and even though the issue may not matter to people above the age of 40 now; the effects of it may be seen on our generation for years to come. Also stating that people see it as a "kids" issue holds no weight in the conversation what so ever, I don't understand why people always think of the here and now of current events. It is much more important to look ahead and think of how events will affect the future.
User avatar #31 - donatelo (12/15/2014) [-]
this is not the issue that will change anything. this "issue" stems from video games , no one gives a damn to be honest. hell even in college people do not care, i am a 3rd year in college and i do not even dare bring it up in a public and casual conversation because a. i do not give a shit about it anyway b. no one knows or talks about it (and the ones that i have heard was literally one instance. there are bigger fish to fry out there, gamer gate is a child's issue, it takes some growing up to do before you can get off childish "fads".
And why would gamer gate make people skeptical about the media above anything else? i personally see more people talk about things like police brutatlity and how the media covers it up, media cover up on some tinfoil shit theories, skeptisism over conservative media outlets etc .. MORE than gg, the only place i see gg is on funnyjunk...it will NOT change anything.

p.s. i apologize if i sound hostile.
User avatar #44 - gabemczombie (12/15/2014) [-]
If it doesn't matter then GG wouldn't have swollen to the size that it is.

If it's gotten to mainstream media, then it's becoming more and more of an "actual" issue as you describe it.
User avatar #46 - donatelo (12/15/2014) [-]
its hardly of any noticeable size. it gets mentioned nowhere except places like funnyjunk. when anita went on to the colbert report, it was not to discuss gg, it was to discuss things she was already famous for. Anita has been around before gg. alot of articles featured in "mainstream media" regarding gamergate are blogs underneath a branch of the publication catoring to a niche market.
User avatar #56 - gabemczombie (12/15/2014) [-]
I disagree. When hollywood actors or other famous figures have aknowledged GG The CEO for wikileaks aknowledged GG and i'm pretty sure he supports "us" , and it's on other sites than FJ Reddit, twitter, 4chan, tumblr etc. then you're just being ignorant
#67 - donatelo (12/15/2014) [-]
i go on tumblr and 4chan regularly..the people who care about gg on them are the clear minority, not everyone gives a shit. also, name atleast one a-list actor or b+ list actor who has acknowledged it as a real issue? one side is video game players who got their jammies up in a knot and the other side only survives because the GG supporters feed them.
in my home country people get their heads chopped off daily, there is a revolutionary underground and im supposed to consider gg a real issue? GG is just another fad, and if i had to guess it is a sense of "belonging" that alot of followers feel they lack, or a sense to fight for something, or out of boredom. but in the end its plain dumb and nothing will come of it.
User avatar #72 - gabemczombie (12/15/2014) [-]
Oh, and Adam Baldwin is pro-gg
User avatar #71 - gabemczombie (12/15/2014) [-]
GG is a minor issue that concerns the minortiy gamers who care. Sadly, that almost outweighs the people that care about be-headings in your country. That's just the world we live in.

But when someone tries to take or change for the worse the one thing i truly love doing in this world, know damn well i'm going to voice my opinion.

Should the senates of the world care about this? Fuck no.
Should whomever it concerns care? Sure.

There isn't a clear majority in any sites around the web since there are different places in most sites that discuss and take an interest in different things.

"Plain dumb" Stupidity is subjective. For example, if think you're an idiot. "Nothing" something has already come of it. My god, open your eyes.
#53 - anonymous (12/15/2014) [-]
Nope. We got multiple sites to add new ethics codes. We got the FTC down on Gawker for undisclosed referral linking. We cost them millions of dollars, in their own words. Some of them are going to court for false police reports. We aren't even slowing down.

We also got a bunch of SJW faggots insanely asshurt for four months straight. God, is this fun.
#41 - anonymous (12/15/2014) [-]
Because of articles like this.
press.gamergate.me/dossier/

It is important when terrible things are happening, that people sit up and talk about it, make note that it exists. If we pretend this doesnt matter, that it's ok to toy with art like this and play an entire industry like a game of chess, with the people's lives as the pieces, then it becomes well, flat out dangerous.

Even if it doesn't change anything immediately, it will show people don't want this garbage, and they we will go out of our way to see it through. I just wish the people in the actual market started bring in court cases.
User avatar #58 - davyjonesbooty (12/15/2014) [-]
Whoa hey, I worked on that one. Admittedly, I did nothing more than renaming links and helping categorize everything, but I was part of the effort nonetheless.
We came up with the idea for this in a /gg/ thread on fullchan and worked on it with a small team in IRC. It was actually pretty fun to work on and the team was pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't do a lot to help out, so my role was extremely minor.
It really sucks that we didn't think of this sooner though, because it took us about 2 weeks to write and by the time we finished it, all the news outlets moved on from gg.

You can feel free to believe me on this or not, but I remember working on it and that's all that matters to me
#16 - rainbowblast (12/15/2014) [-]

User avatar #18 - sketchysketchist (12/15/2014) [-]
Well to be fair, it's not just gaming media.
It's all media that's fucked in the head.
What with everyone forcing everything into being about feminism.
#19 - rainbowblast (12/15/2014) [-]
Yeah that's what I meant my second comment was correcting my first. I meant to say "Eh of course it matters. Yeah, I get ya.
Though it's a shame that most gamergate coverage is negative towards anyone pro gamergate. Even that colbert thing was against us, and supposedly edited to make gamers look bad.

After augmentation, Spartan-II commandos are able to lift about three times their own mass. Master Chief weighs 130kg without his armour (we'll use MC as an example since he's described as being pretty average in the books), which is 390kg. The Mjolnir armour worn by the Sparan-IIs doubles lifting capability, allowing him to lift upwards of 780kg. A Spartan-II would certainly be able to flip anything except the heaviest of vehicles (dropships, tanks, and the elephants on Sandtrap). The standard warthog weighs about 3 tonnes. That's significantly more than 780kg, but you don't have to support the full weight of something to flip it over. It probably still wouldn't be easy, though.
User avatar #31 - fatguystrangler (12/14/2014) [-]
A flip mechanic that only Spartans can use? Lol hmm.

Problem is there are creatures that involve all these things. Serpents. Snakes, monitor lizards, etc. Think of the giant anaconda in the jungle, the venomous viper in the desert, the mamba floating down the creek.
If not the serpent, then the wolf. Long face, sharp teeth, sunken hungry eyes...
