Not really GoT has the tightest schedule for every scene, they actually have to work on atleast 2 sets at a time. I think they have an average of half a day per scene.

any show or movie or production that wants to be good will spend a long length of time for something important, that sounds important, even GoT would because like anyone else they want to be good.
#33 - drumandbass (08/06/2015) [-]
can't argue with that ^^

I believe if GoT would take more time per episode, like they did in S1-S2, they could even be better than they are now, sadly the network is pressuring them with a fucking tight schedule and they seem to get lazier on details because of it. :<
#34 - shoezace (08/06/2015) [-]
thats a good and bad thing, lacking details leaves you open to further development later on but too few and youre leaving them with nothing to go on for something possibly important, GoT is still good theyve managed so far but more time and a looser schedule would do well, only problem is their actors are gaining fame and wanted in movies and other shows, emilia clarke was in genisys, natalie dormer had a movie recently, im pretty sure kit harrington has some rumours too

Here, I'm gonna tell you why dodgin' bullets is bullshit.

This is a Browning M2 50 Caliber machinegun. It fires 12.7×99mm at more than 40 rounds per minute in rapid fire mode. One round can tear a hole through you about as big as your standard kitchen bowl.

When you fire this round, it fires with some force around it, kinetic force. This force, even if the bullet doesn't hit you, can hurt you a lot. It's kind of a more contained version of an explosive shockwave. An IED can explode, and the shockwave, not the explosion itself, can break small bones in the body, small bones you NEED to have. Now, since the force is more contained on a bullet, it will maintain itself around that bullet. If a 50. BMG round misses your arm/shoulder area by a few feet, it can still tear your fucking arm right off. It's the same thing with small weapons, even pistols, but the kinetic jacket will do a lot less damage as the rounds get smaller and smaller.

For example, I'm not really sure, since I've never looked into it, but a 9mm round whizzing past your shoulder and just missing, would either bruise the shit out of your shoulder, or it could tear some of the flesh of your shoulder off.

This information brought to you in part by Kelloggs.
#14 - alexanderh (08/05/2015) [-]
Somehow, I sincerely doubt that missing by A FEW FEET is still close enough for the kinetic "jacket" to literally tear your arm off.

#15 - rajotazo (08/05/2015) [-]
If you wannae me to be perfectly honest with ya, friendo, it could be true or not.

I never got super familliar with the M2, but it's something I've heard among my time with the infantry. I wrote that, then I actually did start to doubt it, so I looked it up. It's just a myth, so your doubts are right. Apparently the mythbusters did an episode on it, so I'm going to look it up. I'll link it to you when I find it.
#30 - alexanderh (08/05/2015) [-]
I appreciate that, actually.
But the concept of being ripped apart by being somewhat close to where the bullets are landing just didn't seem at all right to me.

So, just got witness testiomony from my buddy, who was in Afghanistan.

He says while he was sitting at a patrol base, some insurgents were trying to plant IEDs on a bridge over water, so they opened up on them with a 25mm gun, using HIT rounds, in single fire, as to not waste ammo. He says that one of the insurgents suffered a near-miss, not even 3 inches away from him (the insurgent), and it tore his arm off and he bled to death in the dirt.

Told him everyone was calling this a myth, and he started to get mad cause he says he knows what he saw, especially cause they caught it on their truck's thermals, and it's out on the internet somewhere, he says.

#46 - alexanderh (08/05/2015) [-]
Honestly, I find it more likely that he actually hit the guy in the arm with a round, which could definitely have torn off an arm using HIT rounds.
But if you/he can provide a link to that video, his testimony would seem a lot more likely.

But if he missed by as little as 3 inches, chances are, he actually hit they guy.
User avatar
#47 - rajotazo (08/05/2015) [-]
Forgot to mention I made up the 3 inches part, he didn't give any specifics. He didn't mention a link to the video, either, and I doubt he'd know anyways, It's probably something I'd have to look for.

He says that if it actually hit him, he probably would have exploded instead of having his arm taken off, which is another reason he says he knows it missed.

I'm not sure what a HIT round is, could you explain this to me, if you know?

I'll update it if something is different when o check my character. I'm also using the Slayer of Terramorphous class mod, which adds other stats. And I also never got the second vault hunter upgrade, the one that adds another 11 levels and digistruct peak. As for tactics, I usually just get close and spam Swordsplosion shots until I'm at critical health, then go into rage mode. I've also heard that getting a good Tediore SMG and getting the ammo really high, then reloading works really well, though I haven't tried that myself.

Somehow, I sincerely doubt that missing by A FEW FEET is still close enough for the kinetic "jacket" to literally tear your arm off.

I'm not sure what a HIT round is, could you explain this to me, if you know?

bl2skills.com/psycho.html#50500212505151250510145100000000000 This is a rough estimate, off the top of my head, since I can't check my psycho right now.

Good example is when I used to think that being shot at, just in general and not being hit, but just knowing you're being shot at, wasn't that bad. Until I learned about the kinetic coat around the bullet that could kill you without the bullet even touching you.

My fiancee and her family are Romanian. One of the first things we did for our wedding is make sure that nobody is bringing food that isn't catered. Lol.

What's your favourite Turkish food mate?
#33 - drumandbass (08/05/2015) [-]
meh they like sheep more, turkish food is 90% disgusting and 10% is known to the rest of the world (kebap and falafel, that's about it)
#58 - anon (08/05/2015) [-]
i'm turkish, i've never seen that shit in my whole life
#43 - hurzg (08/05/2015) [-]
%90? Well I'm turkish and I cook, like home meals and stuff. %85 is pretty okay, %15 is questionable. But those %15 are not the kinds you can find in the restaurant, like weird herbs. Kabalak, Kaldirik etc.
#108 - drumandbass (08/06/2015) [-]
I'm talking about traditional turkish food.

turkish food is great! turkish pizza is amazing, they have sliced lamb and let the fat flow down the meat as its cooking making it takes heavenly.

you must've just had some bad food man
#37 - drumandbass (08/05/2015) [-]
**drumandbass used "*roll picture*"**
**drumandbass rolled image**the pizza is called lahmajun, it's okay, not the greatest fan of it, don't like grinded meat as a topping.

yes and no, i like to try everything atleast once, i had cow brain soup, which had a disgusting consistency but tastet actually pretty good; a rice dish with worms in them was awesome as shit in kroatia and my most favorite disgusting-sounding food is bull balls. love them, sadly they're illegal now in my country :<

But never forget Darkstep (not the fagstep kind, the oldschool DnB Darkstep á la Spor, N.Phect, The Panacea,...) Crossbreed and so on *-*

Here's a nice mix /watch?v=G2IOcLiYH5o
