I actually played not too long ago, and now people do the doubling scam backwards. They'll now ask you to double some ridiculous amount of theirs, but then they'll say, they want to test it first by seeing if you can double a smaller but still sizable amount. Of course, you want to run off with the larger sum so you'll double the smaller amount and trade it back to them with your own money.....then they run off.
