Freefall is just something falling without interference from anything other than air resistance and gravity. A bungee jumper is in freefall until the wire slows their fall.

Terminal Velocity is reached when the force acting against it (buoyancy, air resistance etc...) is equal to the force of gravity pulling it down. The net amount of force applied to it is zero, so it neither accelerates nor decelerates.
So for example take a skydiver.

>Fall faster due to lack of air pushing against him
>Fall faster and faster
>The air beneath him can only move so fast out of his way
>Stops him from moving at a faster rate
>Terminal velocity achieved

Its also why that bum gardener guy was falling at like 600mph when he jumped from the stratosphere - there was very little air up there so there was less pressure pushing against him.

According to physics, we never touch anything, electric repulsion prevents us to do that. In physics, when two atoms "collide" they do not really touch each other, but interact through the electric force. Why our hands cannot pass through the wall ? Its because electric repulsion between our atoms, and the wall atoms prevent us to do that.

We are mostly empty space. It's not apparent from looking, however because the space between an electron and proton is significant on the order of magnitude of particles, but tiny on the order of magnitude of light wavelengths, so light cannot pass through the space between the nucleus and electrons.

the reason different surfaces feel the way they do is because of the orientation of their particles. just think of particles as larger, more common objects, like a piece of metal. a thumbtack is pointy, but the side of the metal spike is smooth. it's just about how you arrange the atoms.

Electrons repel each other, like the two same ends of a magnet. So everything you touch is just the force of those electrons repelling each other.
