Not really, though. The Black Death refers to the epidemic in Europe in the Dark Ages, and the Bubonic Plague refers to all other breakouts. I guess you could say Black Plague, but it's kinda weird.

Actually, you're wrong. The bubonic plague and the black plague/death are one in the same species of microbe: Yersinia pestis. There are actually three ways they cause disease: bubonic (swolled lymph nodes called buboes), septicemic (black plague), and pneumonic plague (highly contagious form spread through respiratory system.) All three instances occurred during the Dark Ages, but the Black Death was the most feared because it caused the body's cells to die (hence the black patches of skin) and the victims would die of shock. Bubonic was also quite obvious due to the swollen nodes, but it was less lethal whereas pneumonic was the most deadly and contagious but had less signs of it.
