 It is a dangerous journey but if it's more dangerous to stay there And if you don't feel safe it's hardly a place you can call home and many times, an adult member of the family make the journey, get permission to live in another country, and then their family can fly there because they get the permission too it's not that I don't understand how you feel or anything, but isn't the option that saves the most lives the best option? | ||

doucheonmandic (09/07/2015) [-] So instead of actually trying to guarantee their safety at home, they drag their family across dangerous sees, hundreds of miles on foot, at the mercy of human traffickers, without papers, into a country he has almost no idea about, or how he will provide food, money to his family and might as well get deported after a week/month. All this cause he believed, or some one made him believe that it was the better/easier/safer option. If you can't even protect your home - the only place you may find true safety - how can you expect to find safety anywhere and have someone else fighting to protect your home for you? And for the "you would do this too" line... Well if it comes to it, i'll try my best not to be these people.
