I will tell you the circumstances in the form of a story:
this afternoon I was on the thread like usual.
my mother came up to me and gave the usual, "you need to stop wasting your life on that computer" nonsense
she continues with, "it's a beautiful day outside, why not get some friends and hang out?"
I reply with, "because I hate the sun it's hot and I would much rather be inside in the air conditioning."
she replies with the most wat statement I have heard in a while:
"you need to get outside, I don't want my son to turn into a nazi."
at this point I am completely confused so I ask, "what do you mean turn into a nazi?"
and she says, "you know because nazi's hated the sun." in a completely straight face
I assume she must be very confused (because she was never much for making jokes.)
so I say, "I think you mean vampires"
and she says, "no, vampires die from silver, not sunlight"
and I say, "vampires die from sunlight, werewolves die from silver, and nazis hated jews"
we then have a thirty minute fight about whether nazis like the sun

I have weird, and at times, dim witted, like I am, family but wow. At least you have a story to tell and you proved her wrong and they probably loved the sun, their weren't bombed during the day until we started sending pilots to help with a new tool to bomb them with

Well, he may have been more stubborn at first but would it be worth it for a lifetime?

My mom is stubborn but she knows when see is wrong and will laugh it off... for so long then yell at who ever is still laughing, we all learned to stop before hand.

My dad is the same but will instead of saying he is wrong he will keep argueing and trying to stray to another topic of hilarity. It at times is hilarious because we go from talking about WWII to whether Family Guy, Futurama, or The SImpsons has better fart jokes.

It is an interesting place and we all share a bond of insanity that drives our knowledge with everyone liking to read to some extent.

At times though, it feels like what is happening in the gif because 6+ people talking like that in one living room while playing a game.

I can't remember the last time I heard either of my parents laugh
seriously if you just want to imagine what life in my house is like imagine pinkie pie's parents
minus the rock farm and before pinkie discovers parties.

Oh, I know. I have friends like that. I think they lost what we call humor when they were about 20-25. They call it childishness, or at least my friends parents.

And it isn't always good. Every single time I mess up and my dad was trying to teach me he would just laugh at me, expecting me to think it was funny. It was.. the first two time, now it is just emotionally stressful and he just doesn't get that. While my mom expects me to drop whatever I laughed at her about in a heartbeat but still laughs at me for a single mistake that took place a year ago. 'Humor' can be taken too far, too fast.

I seems that it would be best if we could somehow combine our two families
forming one super family!
but considering that can't happen I have to be satisfied with leaving the house to go to college.

I am lucky though that my mom isn't very observant though, it has certainly helped me get away with a lot of things in my life

Oh, and my parents are very observing of everything but what I do on a computer, they trust me with a computer unless the computer gets a virus then I am to blame and absolutely no one else.
The reasons they are so observant though. 3 older sister, 2 were a little iffy. Mom was in the Navy as a office secretary if I remember correctly she left after 2 years for us kids.. Dad was in the Air Force as a cop for a full career. They watch things closely, I am lucky they trust me with a computer or some of the things that pop up would be bad.
