while i'm with you in criticizing mymissiondaytwo's sweeping generalisation - you do realise that Islam as a doctrine, (not muslims per se', coz a muslim is a person and subject to various factors and subjectivity) - is quite inherently hateful in various ways.

Like the punishment for a person leaving Islam (apostasy) is death - by Islam's regulations. Or the way homosexuality is presented as if it's a mental disorder and is somehow wrong. That doesn't sound very loving and/or tolerant. (i say that as someone who was raised a muslim his whole life + living with my muslim family) -

And you can't pick and choose what you follow in a faith, otherwise you're deviating from the original idea and creating your own narrative. So it's difficult for an 'outsider' - so to speak - to differentiate.

Again, i want to stress that i'm not saying muslims are hateful by default - they obviously aren't because they're people who make their own judgments formed from their own personal experiences. But you can't blame a person completely for thinking that a muslim is hateful considering there are aspects of that in the religion they subscribe

tl;dr
Islam has questionable practices
>a muslim is someone who follows Islam
>> therefore said muslim also follows the questionable practices
