I never said anyone had to have a hot girlfriend, and I never said that people who did were equal to Obama or Bill Gates. My point was that hard work and dedication gets you more than laziness.
And while you are technically right about my being single, I'm not actively looking. I have a Friend with Benefits though, and that's what I want at the moment.
As for Honey Boo Boo's mom, if you haven't noticed, her boyfriend is almost as bad as her, so your point is really kind of invalid. There are very few people who are satisfied with having people like that, and while I will admit they do exist, there aren't many.

I never said anything about perfect. I said BETTER.
But that's beside the point. What the hell makes nobody entitled to a near-perfect (because nobody is truly perfect) partner? If they're willing to work their asses off for it, I'd say they damn well DO deserve it.
I feel like maybe you got rejected by somebody at some point that you really liked. Maybe even loved. Before I go any further with that, I'll just let you deny or confirm that statement.

btw, how does finding a hot girl with an awesome personality equate to the success of Obama or Bill Gates? You're not making the world any better. How do you know they're 'settling' for that person? They could just be perfectly fine with not having a "hot" significant other, not everyone wants an ideally hot person.

This is the reason Honey Boo Boo's mom has a boyfriend and you're still single. But I'm just assuming you're still single.

So what? That means they should settle for a sub-par partner just because it's "too hard" to find someone better? That's not having high standards, that's settling for something you don't really want because you don't want to put in the effort to get what you DO want.
Nobody gets anywhere in life by not doing the stuff they think is too hard. The people who work hard are the ones who become the Bill Gates and the Barack Obamas of the world.
You can keep thumbing me down all you want (if it is you), but it won't change the fact that what I'm saying makes sense.

People who will settle for a land whale with the personality they like have low standards.
Why?
Because I can guarantee you 100% that there is SOMEBODY ELSE in the world, with a similar personality, and a better body. Probably hundreds or thousands of people like that.
There are 7.6 billion people in the world, the chances of only one person having the right personality for you are astronomically low.
