It's honestly better as a kid. Countless hours playing in the toilet and hiding it from your parents at night by playing under the sheets. You didn't have to worry about EV's or breeding, or gender difference, or nature. Pokemon is actually very complicated and should be played for 11+ to be actually good. And one of the best things is listening to the music now and remembering as a kid. dat nostalgia

I'm with you. I've played only a little of pearl and white. Honestly, I don't see what's so appealing about it. Everyone on this website creams themselves in orgasmic fits whenever someone ever uses the word "pokemon" in a sentence but to me, it was just a tedious and repetitive grind-fest.

inb4 "you're just a stupid 12-year-old who wasn't awesome and born in the 90s like me" I was born in 1990 and was raised on GB and GBC but pokemon never appealed to me.

If you've got the money, I recommend you start out with Black/White 1. They're very self-contained, and aren't as aged as the rest of the games.
