when i get bored of making my underground house i work on my other near by projects one of which is a massive tower of pimps where each gold block is actually 4x4x4 blocks

How long did it take to get all the fucking gold?
4x4x4 = 64 blocks of gold. 36 = 1 block. 36 x 64 equals...............2304 gold ore.....
I think that's right.....

it's going to be hollow so 1 large block would need 48 small blocks so it's 1728 + 36 for the top so 1764 ores in total...... i may have to rethink this side project a little

try a 2x2x2 instead?
Gold is a BITCH to find.

i'll make it 2x2x2 and keep any remaining gold i find and have no need for in a chest inside.....just in case, never know how long i'm going to play this world

Why not make a volcano?
Go to the Nether, gather 640 blocks of netherrack and 5 buckets of lava and just cover a random hill with all the netherrack, build it up to a point, and dump the lava on the top.
