Who are you favourite artists from those periods?
Oh, you've listed some great bands. One of the interesting things about Whitesnake is that they were formed in the aftermath of Deep Purple's break-up.
Dave Coverdale, singer from Whitesnake and Deep Purple really shows his talent in both bands. And in a way, I think, he carries over the spirit of Deep Purple in Whitesnake.
Granted that I'm dipping slightly into 1960s music, it's still a wonderful sound.
I think you may like more of the Progressive Rock bands from the 1970s.
Three of the big ones would be Rush, Yes, and The Moody Blues.
What do you think of them?
Rush - Lessons (1976) www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbgbLfDIVUQ
Yes - Roundabout (1971) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tdu4uKSZ3M
The Moody Blues - Steppin' In A Slide Zone (1978) www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSgVcNEUEPc

I've always preferred Nancy Sinatra's work, to be honest.

Dude, I completely agree with you. :o
Today's music is, with the exception of very few, broken and wasted.
Old music is where I find myself drawn.

I use Steam and I play Audiosurf. It's the perfect way to both enjoy a simple puzzle game and listen to your favourite music. ( ^.^)b
Other than that, I do play Minecraft, Terraria, and Civilization. o3o
I was actually planning to livestream Audiosurf soon, too. You're more than welcomed to accompany me. ;)
Do you have Steam?
